Milan's legendary defender who announced his retirement at the end of this season may continue for another year. After the CL match lost to Arsenal, Maldini thought the possibility to not retire yet due to the regained form he has had these last few weeks. May be Maldini will try to win again the Champions League next year (if Milan will qualify) ending his career with a success

Well he does have a point. Though I am not confident how fit he will be for the upcoming year. Italian football is quite tough.

I early defined him a corpse but I must admit that this last few weeks he has regained a good form and he's playing quite well, maybe he can do another season

Lol, a corpse. Haha.

I would if i felt i could, because you only have one career in football. Playing career that is. When you get too old, that's it. No going back.

But i don't think Milan will even be in the Champions League next season, so it would be a pretty unspectacular final season for him. Certainly not a fitting final season for one of the greatest defender the game has ever seen.

As he is my favourite non-Everton player ever , I would be delighted if he went on for one more season .

I'm sure he knows his body better than anyone , and is experienced enough to know if he can still play at a high level .

Milan are only 1 point off 4th spot now , so they could still qualify for the CL .

An 8th Serie A title or a 6th CL would be a great way to end .

He should retire, he doesn't close the action as before, he just should cope with the fact that he cannot win every year, otherwise it was better if he retired after the night in Athens

Great champion, one of the few who'll always will be remembered

I wish he would hurry up I need to know whether to buy a Milan shirt with Maldini on the back this Season or next (I now buy the shirts of players that I idolise the Season they retire).

Either way, what a magnificent player he has been and a fantastic ambassador for the sometimes beautiful game.
