We have a goalie who i cant rememberever saving a penalty. They have a goalie who is supposedly a great shot stopper. We have no penalty takes apart from maybe Berbs.

Cant see us winning this now. But courageous effort by the lads.

Oh man. Chimbonda misses by a mile. They had it in the bag too till Jenas missed his. Then all the pressure went to Tottenham having to kick second and having to make it or go out.

well gomes had also a few good safes (in the match) i think if ther was a other keeper they wher in the goal and then Tottenham was the winner.

Bloody Jenas. Who does he think he is? Berbatov?!

He just strolled up to it casually with no run up and tried stroking it into the net like Berbatov. Muppet!!! Why didn't he just smack it, or at least slot it hard and low with a run up and power. Only Berbs can get away with those really smooth casual penalties.

Bloody Jenas... idiot.


Oh and Gomes had a bit of an unusual game. I was really unimpressed with him for most of it, but man did he make some world class saves when it mattered. There were 3 world class ones that went a long way to winning it for PSV. There was a lob that he somehow managed to scrape over the bar. There was the penalty stop to send it to sudden death. And then there was that unbelievable save from Malbranque. For me, that was maybe the save of the season. It was unreal. Looked a dead cert to go in. That essentially won the game for PSV. It was all about that save.

Robbo wouldn't have had a hope in hell of getting even to within a yard of that.

Robbo is bloody awful at stopping penalties. So bad. He dived too early every time. He made it so easy for the penalty takers.
