Cardiff City's Fran Howells about the draw
"I had to have a little chuckle to myself when I was told the news, but I am really excited about it, as are all the Cardiff girls. Arsenal are a premier league team so we are going to have to play out of our skins to compete with them, but it's a one off game that we intend to go out and enjoy, give it everything we have got and gain as much experience from it as we can." Cardiff have faced Arsenal twice in recent seasons, both in the FA Cup (4th Round January 2000 and 6th Round February 2004), but have lost on both occasions. The match will be played at Cardiff Athletics Stadium, Leckwith, on Sunday 8th January 2006. Kick off will be 2pm. Source: Fair Game Mag Official Site. |
