Bale is a massive dissapointment.

Benoit is actually a decent player he has just been plauged by injury which is also dissapointing.

We need cover for Lee then. Ema nuelso looks like the one who we want for cover or maybe even Lee will be cover for him.

Van Persie is definitely developing 'porcelain leg syndrome'
Sad
Anyone know when he's back?

Does anyone know when any of the injured players from Chelsea are going to be recovered. I know Cech has just recovered but there are still the likes of:

John Terry

Frank Lampard

Andriy Shevchenko

Liverpool have today been dealt an injury blow with the news that Andriy Voronin faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.
The Ukrainian striker sustained the injury in training earlier this week and the club have now learned that the problem is worse than first thought.

Probably tripped on his hair.

Manager Rafael Benitez also confirmed that Daniel Agger is still a couple of weeks away from a possible first team return, while Alvaro Arbeloa will be sidelined for the next three weeks with an abdominal problem.

Riise & Aurelio will be featuring more now Arbeloa is injured. Rolling Eyes

BALE LATEST

Gareth Bale has had his cast removed today as he continues his recovery from a sprained ligament in his right foot.

The 18-year-old suffered the injury in our Premier League match against Birmingham City in December and although the Wales international is making good progress he is expected to be out for the remainder of the campaign.

"Gareth's injury was reviewed today and although the surgeon was happy with the results of the X-rays he does not anticipate Gareth being able to play any further part in this season," said Sporting Director Damien Comolli.

"We are all disappointed for Gareth, but he is still very young and his long-term fitness is our priority."

"Tottenham Hotspur, who are still looking for their first away win of the season in the Premiership, received early jolt as attack-minded left-back Gareth Bale suffered a suspected foot injury against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on Monday night.

The 18-year-old Wales international suffered the setback as his foot was accidentally trampled by Toon captain Geremi. He will have to go in for x-rays to ascertain the damage as he limped off the pitch in the 19th minute with Teemu Tainiomaking a substitute appearance. "

Hi Jono, I'm back for a few days at least. just want to respond and tell all how it goes...

Accidental? Really, it was part of Fat Sam's game plan, cynical challanges. That's why they had so many injuries themselves it all backfired.

Liverpool have been dealt a blow with the news that Fernando Torres was forced off in the first-half of Spain's friendly with France.
The Reds striker pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury after just 23 minutes of his country's 1-0 win against Les Bleus and was soon replaced by Spain coach Luis Aragones when it became clear he could no longer continue.

Confused We've got the Chelsea game on Sunday. Ive also heard there might be a few other injuries to players that have been on international duty.

Eduardo - Lewin saved me

Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva has expressed his gratitude to physio Gary Lewin for saving his foot.

Eduardo suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle after Birmingham defender Martin Taylor caught the Croatian forward with a mistimed challenge in the 2-2 draw with the Blues at St Andrews last weekend.

Taylor was shown a straight red card for the foul and has been heavily criticised for the challenge which has left Eduardo facing nine months on the sidelines.

Eduardo, though, admits his injury could have been far worse and the 25-year-old has thanked Gunners physio Lewin for his swift action.

Grateful

"The injury was so grave I could have lost my foot," he told the News of the World.

"So I will always be grateful to Gary for what he did in lowering the risk to my leg. That was decisive. I do not remember too much about the blow.

"I remember the pain, seeing that my foot had rotated, but I only recaptured my senses in hospital."

Eduardo, though, accepts Taylor's challenge did not contain any intent after the Birmingham player visited him in hospital.

Excuses

"I had to look at him (Taylor)," Eduardo continued. "I could not understand how anyone could make a tackle like that in only the third minute of a game.

"But in the end I believed that Taylor was sincere and I accepted his excuses.

"Even though he had destroyed my season it would be incredible to think that what he did was pre-meditated."

And Eduardo insists he will never watch a replay of the challenge because he wishes to put the incident behind him.

"I'm not interested," Eduardo added. "I've made this decision along with my wife. I want to try and forget what happened."

Bad New for Liverpool fans.

Daniel Agger is to have surgery and will miss rest of the season.

He'll probably miss the rest of his career the way he's going.

But i suppose if the surgery (More...?) he's having sorts his problem out for next season then it'd be the wisest solution. We badly need Agger back.
