Guilleme Ballague (Spanish reporter on Sky) said that the Spanish giants have compiled lists of the top 5 youngsters in the World and he's on it. I think he's super. Always thought he stood out and wanted us to go for him in the summer. Big & strong but has a very good touch and quick feet

Shocked tremendous potential but top 5 youngsters in the world? even as a Hibs fan im a bit unsure he is in the top 5.

but if this is true ill take £10 million for him Wink Laughing

A move to a bigger club will certainly be on the cards in future but i doubt it will be to any of these sides. What you think CFCBhoy? can you see him in the hoops in the future? i can

And if you don't mind me asking, was it on revista de la liga (show on sky sports incase you didn't know) he said this? I watch it some weeks but missed this episode if he did.

I hope so. I was glad when he signed a new contract at Easter Road though. He must have looked at the likes of Riordan & Killen and opted for football over money. Fair play to him. I think if he keeps playing the way he is though, he'll be heading our way very soon. Could be an ideal replacement for big Jan and could build a frightening partnership with McDonald. Needs to be playing regular football to keep progressing though and moving away from Hibs now could halt his progress.

No doubt that he's a future Celt though. Well he'd better not sign for that other crowd in Glasgow

I would prefer to see him go south before moving to the old firm obviously, but for once i think it would be a better move for him to go to celtic or rangers (would raher celtic if any) in a season or 2 than it would for him to go down south. I was very glad to see him sign a new contract as i dont think he is ready yet to be a star at any of the old firm or down south.

Im glad he looked out for his career rather than his wallet unlike riordan. I can sympathise with killen a bit more though as i understand hibs wouldnt offer him more than a 1 year extention? not sure how true that was though.

but in my opinion, if he fulfils his potential fully, then surely celtic will only be a stepping stone to bigger and better things in the future? a bit like brown if he becomes as good as his potential suggests then surely both will be in the EPL before some time. or la liga in the case of fletcher Very Happy

I'm not sure about top five youngsters in the world, but he has certainly shone recently and all credit to him.

No doubt the usual story will come about though, players performing for SPL clubs being snapped up by the Old Firm. I would wager Celtic.

i read in the paper real madrid are ready to make an offer and the head of youth is on the verge of approaching pedrag mijatovic (sp?) for the funds to complete a deal in the summer. rumour is real want to pay 3.8 million straight up with add ons for appearances for madrid and for scotland. the add ons is thought to take the deal beyond 5 million pounds although hibs have told real madrid they will settle for nothing less than £5m straight up with no add on clauses.

it seems you may be correct CFCBhoy

CFCBhoy, he isnt EVER going to sign for Celtic. 1. He supports Hibs, and wont play for another Scottish team and 2. With Real on his heels, do you really think he's going to WANT to join, the second best team in scotland?

He supports Hibs,....and? You think all Gers players are die hard fans? These are rumours mate. No concrete proof that he is going to Madrid.

Scotty Brown supports Rangers supposedly and signed for Celtic!
Its about the right career move, not who he supports

Brown doesnt support Rangers. He is also a hibs man.

But if you had read recently, he said, he is a hibs man, and wants to stay at hibs. So my feeling is If he does move, it wont be to another Scottish club, that im almost certain of.

Hibserpool - Celtic is not the right career move.

I didn't say celtic was the right career move. All i am saying is that it does not matter who he supports, if he feels the best move for his carrer is elsewhere in the spl, la liga, or the premier league, then he will make the move. Brown was a Hibs fan as you say, but he still made the trip to glasgow. Current day footballers care about being the best player they can be and having the best career possible. (ie, playing in europe) who they support is very rarely a factor. for example, when steven gerrard came very close to joining Chelsea to be successful.

ps. i just phoned a mate whos big brother is good mates with scott brown.(they both played in the hibs youth team together), and ill have you know, brown used to be a rangers supporter. Although im sure that has changed to celtic now.

Fletchers a Liverpool fan. Read it in one of the Hibs programmes where he was getting interviewed. His scouser Dad died when Fletch was young and they where both die hard 'Pool fans.
