So it is that time again for another super sunday, and the big one of course is Manchester United v Liverpool. It has to be said, even though Liverpools form and seasons fluctuate this is still regarded by many as the biggest game of the season be that at Old Trafford or Anfield.

So, How do you all see this going?

If united get a win, which they must be favourites to do, then they are very much in the driving seat for the title. If Liverpool get a win, well? Could we be back in contention and throw the title race wide open again? Wink

Opinions please.

Liverpool will never be back in contention for the Premiership regardless of the score in this game Wink

I see this as a tough game, and Liverpool have hit some form.

I see Liverpool controlling the game throughout but not making any clear cut chances. United to nick it towards the end. Vidic 1-0

I can see Liverpool pulling off an 'upset' here. United's form has been a bit off as of late, and Liverpool have been flying high.

i lol-ed at the description below the thread title.. is it gazza?.. haha..

well.. it would be a great match.. and on sunday?.. should've returned in time to watch it..

also hope they don't play the Chelsea v Arsenal match live at the same time.. =P

i'm not sure if we're winning this match.. so a draw would already be a good result..

hopefully.. fergie's playing his best team.. with no injured players.. XD

Man Utd 2 - 1 Liverpool [i said i'm not sure.. but then.. it's better to wish for a win to my team.. lol]

It's not Super Sunday, it's GRAND SLAM SUNDAY!

Which f*ck thought that up? I hate SKY.

As for the match, i'm not too fussed about whether we win or not like in the past, 'cause we never do. We might look promising for a while but they'll score in the last minute as per usual... We can't even score against them. I'm just going to watch the game and enjoy it 'cause every time i'm optimistic and every time United find a way to play crap and win. EVERY damn time. It isn't really very funny anymore.

We're not favourites for this anyway, so anything we get from it is a massive bonus. In fact i'd be pleased if we just managed to score, 'cause as i said we don't do that anymore.

Well i know i jest a little.

I actually think we might be able to get something from this match. I dont know if it is over confidence for once this season putting a nice little run of wins together or not but i actually think we might be able to get a point. As the other ben said, we rarely score v United so i think it will be a counter attacking game for us once again. but i just have the Danny Murphy free kick in my head when we beat United few years back, and can see something like that happening again.

Not going to make any predictions at all for this. I just hope we go out there and handle ourselves.

I don't mind Sky arranging the fixtures like this so the "big four" play off against each other. It's worth the hype in my opinion.
It's GRAND SLAM SUNDAY!!!

About the game, I reckon Man Utd will win 2-0.

PS - Benraul: the only way Liverpool will get back into the title race is if United lose this and the Bolton game tomorrow. But it ain't gonna happen mate.
