Problem is if we won the derby we'd come out on top regardless of losing the other results, and then Everton have their tough patch towards the final weeks of the season. That game is key if Everton are to have a chance of getting 4th i feel.

This is only our single league lost in 2008!!! We will come round and put another decent run together. The difference this season between pool and us is that we have been consistant throughout while pool have been up and down.... They are at an 'up' right now but can just easily fall over and get a 'down' run of results.

We will be waiting.........

Because we've managed our highest points tally this season of the past four seasons, measured at the 30 game stage.

All that has happened is that Everton and Arsenal have both radically improved over this season.

A Liverpool site was predicting for a bit of extremely optimistic fun, and i gave it a go. I had us win all our matches 'cause if we were to win (which we won't) the league we'd need to, and then i predicted United's, Arsenal's, Chelsea's and Everton's remaining games. Being, let's say, a bit generous with their opportunities to drop points.

I was surprised i got the four so close though. What a race that would be... And to top it off Chelsea and Arsenal would have been leading after the penultimate match, but to throw it away. Ahh, i'm dreaming.

It would take us firstly to win all of our games, of which definitely won't happen considering we have to travel to Old Trafford and the Emirates. And then it would take United losing twice (Chelsea, Liverpool) and drawing thrice (Boro, West Ham, Arsenal). Chelsea i've had suffer a single defeat (Arsenal) and be held three times (Tottenham, Everton, Bolton); Arsenal one loss (Liverpool) and three draws (United, Derby (Laughing), Sunderland).

Ahh well, 'till next season!

For balance I will do the opposite. Razz I had Liverpool lose all of their matches and then I predicted Man United's, Arsenal's, Chelsea's,Everton's, Aston Villa's, Blackburn's, Portsmouth's and Man City's remaining games. Being, let's say, a bit generous with their opportunities to gain points. Laughing

There were many contributing factors off the field though. Had it no of been for all the Hicks and Klinsmann sh*t midway through the season then i'm sure we would be much closer to Chelsea. It's actually surprising that we aren't THAT far away from the top 3 despite everything that has gone on.

I think Cahills injury will have a massive impact on this mini-race for fourth!
