Rio Ferdinand is now classed as doubtful for this game.... Not very good news at all, he absolutely dominated Torres at Anfield earlier in the season and I don't think the team will be the same without him.

Back four will look like this now:

O'Shea-------Brown--------Vidic-------Evra.

"Doubtful"? Are we really to believe the mindgames? Torres is also "doubtful" but no doubt he'll be at full fitness come the match.

Also, don't get my hopes up. If Ferdinand's missing i might actually think we can score, and then i'll be let down again.

I see this as a tough game, and Liverpool have hit some form.

I actually amazingly disagree.

IF and it is a big IF we win we will be 8 points behind with 8 to play. That's nothing at this time of the Season.

I believe given recent form we can at least give United a bit of a scare.

Dude, come on! Liverpool are playing well at the mo but to base the possibility of Liverpool actually getting up there and giving utd "a scare" is just silly talk, it wont happen. Im a red 100% and Im hoping we stuff the mancs on Sunday but to base us maybe winning the league on ifs and buts is just silly friend.

You deserve to have Bluenose Laughing @ you.

It's quite funny that a supporter of a relegation threatened team laughs at a team 10 places above them & some 30 points better off Wink

Yeah Rafa must be living in Ben's world where they win every game and win the premiership on 83 points and Man Utd only pick up 12 points from the remaining 24 points.

Yes, but we have a realistic chance of staying up, whereas Liverpool have the slimmest chance ever of winning the league depending on 3 other teams just throwing away points and Liverpool winning every game. Laughing

Pay attention, Ben. He didn't actually say the words "we can be champions", but read between the lines for crying out loud. I'm sure I don't need to explain this...

But is the chance there? Yeah it is! We wont win the league but the possibility is still there Wink If it comes to 4th place or wotever then I know Id rather have that over the possibilty of relegation anyday Very Happy

I've said already it is the slimmest chance ever. Same for Everton but you don't hear them saying they can win the league.

You're as bad as the rest of the Liverpool supporters and manager. Rafa will still be saying it after the defeat because it will still mathematically possible. Laughing

I can't see anywhere in that interview where Rafa says
Quote:
we are not out of the Premier League title race

More like
Quote:
How near we finish to the top now will be interesting
which will be interesting.

Whoops, ive just said we can win the league.

and he's also said
Quote:
We have been criticised this season, but let us see where we are in three or four weeks
and
Quote:
We have important games and if we win them we will be a lot closer. If we can beat Manchester United we will be closer to the top, and that will give us more confidence
and
Quote:
Do we have a point to prove? Maybe, but only if we can keep winning three points

it's funny how all that can mean we are going to win the league.

Liverpool's chances aren't slim - they're anorexic!

Seriously, if we're going to still count in Liverpool then we might as well include Everton because they're only three points behind you, haven't got the Champions' League distraction to worry about and have got an easier run in.

It's all irrelevant anyway because Man Utd will put you in their place again come 4pm.

Oh right, has Rafa said we're gonna win the league then? Rolling Eyes Rafa is interested in getting Liverpool as high in the table as possible. Not once has he said "hey, we're gonna win the league if we beat this and that team"

Come on Monty! Things aint always what they seem, like Kevin Keegan, zero wins. Everybody is having doubts about him but Im sure you, as a Toon fan, still believe in him.

Not eveything is black & white (no pun intended)

Crabhead and Tez Arne, you need to grasp the meaning of the whole article not one liners or definitive quotes. What Benitez is saying is he has got a chance of winning and if he keeps winning 3 points will sneak the title. Otherwise there is no point saying what he is saying if he only thinks his team could finish highest 4th. See where it says Benitez:Title hope. Sky news can see what Benitez is saying and the rest of us can. Why can't you?
