Yeah what a clown. They will see where they are in 3 or 4 weeks. 5th place that is where. Laughing

I can't see anywhere in that interview where Rafa says
Quote:
we are not out of the Premier League title race

More like
Quote:
How near we finish to the top now will be interesting
which will be interesting.

Whoops, ive just said we can win the league.

and he's also said
Quote:
We have been criticised this season, but let us see where we are in three or four weeks
and
Quote:
We have important games and if we win them we will be a lot closer. If we can beat Manchester United we will be closer to the top, and that will give us more confidence
and
Quote:
Do we have a point to prove? Maybe, but only if we can keep winning three points

it's funny how all that can mean we are going to win the league.

No, not going to win the league, but it means that Benitez is still entertaining the thoughts of winning it. That's what we're ridiculing, Tezzer Wink

So 6 points is beyond our reach with, as I said, a bloody good run of results?

Good runs come to an end at some point. Next you will be saying "only 8 points behind Arsenal, they're on a bad run, we are on a good one. We can take 2nd. So 8 points is out of reach ? Only 11 points behind Man Utd if we win that will be 8 we can do it and win the league. " Laughing

You forget about the teams like Man Utd and the team on your heals Everton that will put a stop to that kind of thinking and then there is Arsenal. Game Over.

Crabhead and Tez Arne, you need to grasp the meaning of the whole article not one liners or definitive quotes. What Benitez is saying is he has got a chance of winning and if he keeps winning 3 points will sneak the title. Otherwise there is no point saying what he is saying if he only thinks his team could finish highest 4th. See where it says Benitez:Title hope. Sky news can see what Benitez is saying and the rest of us can. Why can't you?

His comments could be aimed at those that said Everton would finish above us, or he could have one eye on catching Chelsea. Or his comments could be aimed at those that said the gap between us and United will be 15 points or over come the end of the season. Sky could have put any of those as headings for that article.

It's funny how easily you're influenced by a title Johaldo. You know Rafael did not write it don't you? Razz

We're 6 points behind Chelsea and have a chance of pushing the top 3 for a higher position - not winning it, but we can realistically improve on 4th. What manager wouldn't strive for that target? Do you think he's going to settle for fourth? Why should he? Aim low and you'll achieve nothing, and all that. Not to mention the fact that someone's obviously asked him about it, and he's basically said we'll see how things go... He hardly arranged an interview or press conference to say that.

You're a bit of a hypocrite, to be honest. For all my bias towards Benitez you're of the opposite blind extremity. You should be embarrassed that your only supportee is Mr. Monty.

Anyway, no-one believes we'll win the Premier League, and anyone who thinks we have a chance knows it'd be a miracle if it did somehow come to fruition. Just leave the bitterness and talk about the actual game please.
