Pretty disapointing.

All credit to the Czech's though, they had a great game plan and England were pressured out of everything.

Felt sorry for Lianne, she didn't get her chance tonight but her time will come.

Why was she singled out though? Why not one of the players who wasn't getting the ball through to the striker(s)?

Yeah, I understand your point the midfield were finding it difficult although I don't think upfront many runs or great positions were being made hence why the ball was regularly passed back. On the other hand, I think the midfield found it hard to get their head up and see the pass because before they could do that the ball was gone!

I suppose Hope thought that as the Czech's got more tired Eni with fresh legs could run at them with her pace.

0-0 was fair in the end.

Yes - it was fair enough - neither team deserved to win.

They didn't create much at all - Faye White had a couple of chances from set pieces, and Alex Scott had a late chance, but that was about it.

They reckoned that Faye should have been given a pen after a shove, but it was the sort of thing that are sometimes given, sometimes not.

I went to the game and it wasn't that good to be honest not to mention really cold.

Apparantly kelly smith had to que up and buy a ticket like everyone else ! I saw her sat in the crowd not that far from me as was rachel brown

My photos didn't come out with the light

It was a really bad game. God knows why Lianne was replaced by Aluko , she did nowt at all. Lianne did more in 45 mins than Eni did 47mins , bad choice by Hope there.

They certainly missed Kelly , there was just no flare in the team , creativity. I just couldn't believe the time wasting that went on by the Czechs in the second half. Going down like they've been shot and stying down til they thought it was time to come off. There should of been more than 2 mins added on. All the Czechs did was defend which made it boring to watch.

The only highlight of the night was at half time when they showed the goals of the FA Cup semi's.

England need to sort themselves out , there beginning to play like the men Wink

Heart sank when I saw Aluko comin on for Sanderson, lol, poor Aluko. But yeah, Sanderson's goal record speaks for itself, she was bound to get one eventually!
I wasn't too impressed with Westwood and didn't understand Hope playing her in an attacking position when she has been used to defending all season.
Carney was fantastic, barging the czechs off the ball and running around everwhere.
Defending still looks dodgy with Philip making a few mistakes, bit worrying. Thought Johno did well though coming on to replace her.

Game was pretty dull though really, nearly fell asleep at the end, partly to do with the fact that I was watching a recording and it was gone midnight!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the amount of litter on the pitch Shocked Can't people not put their empty haribos packets in their bags Confused Rolling Eyes

Roberts, I agree with you about Westwood and Carney was the best player for England.

I wonder how they'd do with Lianne and Eni on at the same time - any thoughts?

It's an option when kelly is not there, lianne in behind eni with kaz and yanks on the wing.
It is often used at Arsenal with fleets instead of eni.
I don't think the england staff think Lianne is good enough to be honest as they could have started her in NI and here they just removed her after 45 minutes
I am sure there is something in her game that they dislike couple of years ago I would have said she takes too many touches but she removed that weakness years ago.
Granted she is slower than Aluko but who isn't ? Someone at an england camp was told she was too slow and that it was a problem for a center forward.. Shocked so maybe Lianne is judged by the same rule??

Well, they know how fast / slow she is by now. So, if she's too slow why include her at all?

They cannot really ignore someone who scored 40 last season and about 30 this season.
Oops they do it with Anderton who scored more than 30 last season and is about 30 again this season...

In past games I have thought that Lianne looked a bit lazy off the ball, or maybe she has a bad attitude as she can look well stroppy sometimes Laughing

I'm quite liking the idea of Aluko and sanderson, I'm sure sanderson could thread through some good passes to Aluko and tap in the rebounds when aluko misses Laughing
Obviously Smith would be the preference.

Also I wondered why we didn't see Sue Smith, we needed some energy on the pitch and Sue has plenty of that.

She signed a programme for me on last Sunday, and was so stunned by my good looks she was unable to play for a week Laughing
