an away draw Smile Better than the usual loss but then again against PSG we should have had all 3 points...

Now Valenciennes is 19th away, Metz are 18th and St-Etienne 20th. Wink

French cup last 16 :

Paris-SG (L1) 2-1 Bastia (L2)
Sedan (L2) 2-0 Angers (L2)
Dijon (L2) 3-1 Tours FC (Nat)
Lyon (L1) 2-1 Sochaux (L1)
Bordeaux (L1) 2-0 (after extratime) Lille (L1)
Lorient (L1) 0-1 Metz (L1)
Amiens (L2) 1-1 (4-2 on penalties) Arles (Nat)
Carquefou (CFA2) 1-0 Marseille (L1)

The big surprise is the elimination of Marseille by Carquefou which is a club of the 5th division from the suburbs of Nantes and they have eliminated Nancy in the last 32. Shocked

Yes they are and they are not professional players, they have a job. Shocked

May be in Uefa cup next year ? Very Happy

It happened ten years ago with Nimes Olympique, they were in third Division and they were qualified for the cup winner of cup, and they won the two legs against Honved Budapest in the first round but they failed in the next round.

Thats quite an achievement. Did you see any of the Liverpool vs. Havant & Waterlooville FA Cup game earlier this season? Havant are a non-league, semi-professional team who scored 2 goals against Liverpool at Anfield, they played brilliantly but aren't top of their own league, they're actually relegation threatened Laughing

No i've not seen this match but i know that Liverpool was not good at the begining of the season, i remenber Marseille winning at Anfield and at that time Marseille was in the relegation zone, and Liverpool was lucky because they failed the 3 first matchs in the CL this year. But they were good in their 3 last games so they were qualified. Wink

Not a good result for Bordeaux, Lyon is on the way to win their 7th Ligue. Monaco was leading 1-0 at half time and see the result now. Not a good week for Marseille. Shocked

We need to beat Rennes if we want a top half finish. I can see us drawing though.

Also Milligan's transfer isn't so 100%. He rebuffed Lens for now as he would prefer to play in England where he knows the language but if he can't find an English speaking team he will go to Lens.

I think Lens will be relegated because it was our last chance tonight, because the two next matchs are difficult. We have to play Lille away and it's a derby and Bordeaux at home who fight for the title, Toulouse have to play Rennes away and Valenciennes at home and Valenciennes is not good away, PSG have to play St-Etienne at home and Sochaux away. And now Aruna Dindane is injuried for 6 months. Confused
