French cup last 16 :
Paris-SG (L1) 2-1 Bastia (L2) Sedan (L2) 2-0 Angers (L2) Dijon (L2) 3-1 Tours FC (Nat) Lyon (L1) 2-1 Sochaux (L1) Bordeaux (L1) 2-0 (after extratime) Lille (L1) Lorient (L1) 0-1 Metz (L1) Amiens (L2) 1-1 (4-2 on penalties) Arles (Nat) Carquefou (CFA2) 1-0 Marseille (L1) The big surprise is the elimination of Marseille by Carquefou which is a club of the 5th division from the suburbs of Nantes and they have eliminated Nancy in the last 32. |

Giant Killers then?
Have them in cup competitions all around the world |
Yes they are and they are not professional players, they have a job.
May be in Uefa cup next year ? It happened ten years ago with Nimes Olympique, they were in third Division and they were qualified for the cup winner of cup, and they won the two legs against Honved Budapest in the first round but they failed in the next round. |

Thats quite an achievement. Did you see any of the Liverpool vs. Havant & Waterlooville FA Cup game earlier this season? Havant are a non-league, semi-professional team who scored 2 goals against Liverpool at Anfield, they played brilliantly but aren't top of their own league, they're actually relegation threatened

No i've not seen this match but i know that Liverpool was not good at the begining of the season, i remenber Marseille winning at Anfield and at that time Marseille was in the relegation zone, and Liverpool was lucky because they failed the 3 first matchs in the CL this year. But they were good in their 3 last games so they were qualified.

Nancy 2-1 Metz
Valenciennes 3-1 Bordeaux Marseille 0-1 Sochaux Nice 1-2 Lorient Toulouse 1-1 Le Mans Strasbourg 0-1 Lille Auxerre 1-3 Saint-Etienne Caen 4-1 Monaco Aussie_Valenciennes_Fan will be happy. Not a good result for Bordeaux, Lyon is on the way to win their 7th Ligue. Monaco was leading 1-0 at half time and see the result now. Not a good week for Marseille. |

Guess we're not gunning for Europe like I thought when I last saw the table

Valenciennes is 12th, Nice who is 5th have only 3 points more but i don't think Valenciennes can be european because there is not Intertoto anymore, and Marseille have 11 points more.

RC, have you heard anything about signing Australian defender Mark Milligan?
RC Lens have signed him. Official. But i'd like to see Lensy's view on this.

No i don't hear about Mark Milligan, i know only that Hilton will leave Lens at the end of the season and Hilton is defender.

We need to beat Rennes if we want a top half finish. I can see us drawing though.
Also Milligan's transfer isn't so 100%. He rebuffed Lens for now as he would prefer to play in England where he knows the language but if he can't find an English speaking team he will go to Lens. |

I still don't hear about this transfer. Nice 0-0 Lyon
Toulouse 1-1 Paris-SG Nancy 3-0 Strasbourg Caen 2-2 Rennes Lorient 0-0 Le Mans Auxerre 2-0 Valenciennes Sochaux 0-0 Metz Lens 0-0 Monaco I think Lens will be relegated because it was our last chance tonight, because the two next matchs are difficult. We have to play Lille away and it's a derby and Bordeaux at home who fight for the title, Toulouse have to play Rennes away and Valenciennes at home and Valenciennes is not good away, PSG have to play St-Etienne at home and Sochaux away. And now Aruna Dindane is injuried for 6 months. |
