Andy Johnson - Crystal Palace

Reportedley Crystal Palace will be selling Andy Johnson to WBA for £2,000,000 and Rober Earnshaw. Andy Johnson who ahs bagged 20 goals for Palace this season will be looking to get back to the Midlands were his family lives (Birmingham).But he says he is happy to stay on in London to play football. We understand that Palace chairman Andy Jordan has rejected a bid from numerouse of clubs for Johnson, and that they have already rejected one bid from WBA.

Birmingham have admitted that they are trying to re-sign Johnson. in 2001 Andy johnson moved to Palace in a swap deal for Clinton Morrison. Johnson has said that he really wants to stay at Palace even though they went down.

To WBA for Earnie? Where you hear that sounds like total crap(no offence). Thinks he needs to move up to mid-table football/UEFA Cup. Newcastle?

BBC sport and South Wales Echo, Personally I think it would be a great deal for Palace, not so good for WBA. WBA would be loosing a top scorer to bring in a top scorer but also loosing 2 mill.

They are nto selling him for that.

Johnson is pretty crap. he has only scored 9 goals from open player withh 11 being penalties, pretty pathetic record for a "great" stirker isnt it?

OH MY GOD :@ Do you see Rooney scoring 20 goals ? NO ! Johnson makes all of his penalty's himself aswell apart from one thsi year which Routledge won. Look he scored 20 goals more than Drogba, Rooney, Ruud, Baros and Cisse. He is a top scoreer he is a better striker than Rooney, not a better player a better striker he is the best STRIKER not player England have got. And I dont know why you dont see that. And if he was pathetic why would Newcastle, Birmingham and WBA all want him.

And why has Johnson scored more goals. And he is playing in a more physical and fast league which makes it harder to score. He has prooved he can score in The Championship were he got MROE than Earnie and Bent and now he is proved it in the Prem.

Ive seen him play twice against Cardiff, eevryone say how good Danny Gabbidon is even Del Piero said its the hardest game hes ever had is against Danyn Gabiidon, and Andy johnson ripped him up, into peices he could not handle it.

Gabidon istn a great defender though, maldini, terry will keep him quiet, unless a penatly is conceeded!

Thats not what Del Pierro said or Mark Hughes or the Italy manager. And Johnson is a top player so I think you should just face that now.

No, i dontn want to coz he scored 11 penalties so he still has to prove his open play goalscoring abilities in a top league.

He scored 9 goals, playing for Palace. Who made all the penaltys ? ummmm Johnson apart from one. If he hadnt have been hacked he would have been through on goal any way. His pace is to much for defenders and knowone know how to handle him. And to score 11 penaltys is a good record, Michael Owen missed what ? 7-10 in his alst year ? Johnson missed 1 ? And scored off the re-bound. And actually he has scored 10 pens and 10 from open play.

im not saying he isnt a good player hes just not as good as you all say he is, he needs to work on his open play goals.
