was a decent solid display after a pretty wasteful first half in terms of passing etc. i do think we should have wrapped up the three points and had some excellent chances, the better of the two teams i think however overall a draw was probably fair given the goal that was unfairly disallowed.

was great to see Ashton looking good again, still has a bit to go but the signs are there, funny how he can look good when not playing with Cole and in a 4-4-2 formation isnt it, just like i have been saying for months. young Sears will learn a lot form playing alongside him and from Bellamy on the training pitch.

like i have said before, the season is over so i want a return to the 4-4-2 and the introduction of some young stars gaining valuable experience. that seems to be happening and as such things are looking up. the Curbs Out brigade have quietened down somewhat. funny that.

another plus sign was Tomkins who after being turned by Yakubu recovered well and finished the game on a high. playing against a top striker like Yakubu would have done wonders for him and probably in the long run being turned like that will do him the world of good.

all in all im pleased.

Yea dont think he would have come up against a striker of Yakubus strength and nouse before, was exposed for the goal but he'll learn from that.

The goal that was disallowed for Everton was a poor decision, firstly by the linesman for judging it offside and second by the referee for not realising it came off a West Ham player anyway. The same thing happened to Arsenal last week and I think there is a lack of understanding between the officials as to who decides which team made the pass anyway, IMO the refereeshould be looking for that and ignore the linesmens flag if he sees it, the linesman cant be expected to look for it too IMO, they have enough trouble just seeing if the striker is behind the last man.

refereeing all season is a joke and i think now people have just accepted that mistakes are the norm. its a terrible shame but there does not seem to be any motivation to change from the referees. im sure if we had won that game then we would not hear the last of it from Ginge. like i said, a draw was probably the fairest result all things considered.

We've had a good few goals ruled out this season... It's still hard getting use to it though although if anyone it should be us use to it first.

That Sears looks to have a bit of pace about him. Got himself about well from what I saw of the Second Half and really worried the likes of Jagielka. Just needed a little more nous and composure on the ball, which i am sure will come with experience.

Curbishley constantly referring to him as "Young Freddy" constantly after the game made him sound slightly like a Paedo.

Jaggers did have his worst game of the season so for there though. I admire him but he nearly cost us the point as well in this game.

Everton V's West Ham
