I see you're getting the excuses ready.

Your boys are gonna get shafted. Spanked. Given the run around. Pwned. Bent over. Raped. Taught a lesson. Humiliated. Shown up. Analed. Flattened. Taken apart. Brushed aside. Played off the park. Flicked under the carpet. Shown a thing or two. Given a reality check. Put in their place. Dismantled. Knocked down a peg or two. Dazed and confused. Turned over. Left licking their wounds. Twisted and turned inside out.

Your boys will be memorized and left in awe by Torres - who will tie your defence in knots.

Not at all... If you look above my post You'll find I was asked about an injured player! so I simply named them.

But if you look around the forum you will find you lot have already started with some excuses and you probably have looked and tried to counteract it by saying my one is an excuse...

Not worked!

Oi!

Nah Bluey, it's only a bit of banter.

''you are here to gloat over a victory by another team. Pathetic. You couldn't wait to get those manc pics up with your little tag lines.''

Quote from Man U thread referring to Bluey and his actions.

That's why i said that, and will continue to rip it out of you and your team. Of course i'll gloat when you lose, because you always do when Liverpool lose.

BUT

I've got respect for Everton, and i think it could be a close game. They will certainly put up a fight, and have every right to think they can win the game. They have some fantastic players such as Arteta and Yakabu who could really cause us problems.

I'm certainly not confident of a demolition. I think it will be a close game, with us scrapping the win. Could be a draw though.

We were. Man U didn't play particularly well, but we were very poor. The foundations we can usually rely on went to pieces. They crumbled like Everton's UEFA cup dream a few weeks ago. We were very poor, and played half the game with our hand tied behind our back.

Errr..no! Everton went out gallantly on penalties - a respectable way to lose a match - in fact it isn't a loss anyway becase they drew the actual football 2-2. As for yesterday, I agree with everything you said.

Back to this game, if Liverpool win then I think you're pretty much there for CL football next season. A draw keeps the fight going on for a bit longer, whereas a remarkable Everton win could really shift the balance back in their favour and put massive heat on Benitez.

1-1 for me.

I know, but i had to just remind Bluey of that. But even though they played really really well, their dream of winning the UEFA cup came to and end - it crumbled.

It could only be an Everton fan to be deluded enough to think this is the biggest and best derby in Britain. Same thinking that saw you adopt the 'people's club' moniker. I accept for bitter blues this is their cup final and it must grate that Liverpool's most important games are against more successful and prestigious clubs than you. Biggest and best derby my arse!

What did I tell you? Unrealistic expectations. Laughing

Tell me, what exactly is your problem?

How about you post some things on your own team instead of the constant put downs and smartarse remarks towards Liverpool Football Club.

Are these so called "posts" of yours designed to deflect your own teams years of shortfalls away from discussion or even your own memory?

in future, if you have nothing constructive to add to the conversation, dont say anything at all.

Thank you.

Im not a fan of the merseyside derby. The so called "friendly derby" is no more and hasn't been for many years. Friends become enemies & banter has become vicious threats.

The sooner this is over with, the better.

Agreed. The hate just burns so deep there. It's not just about the club rivalry or the location - it's religion.

Celtic/Rangers games are boring. Huge build up then nothing. Maybe the fans do hate each other but that's all that fixture has to offer.

I can't agree with that. Very passionate games and once I seem to remember 5-0 for Rangers and 5-0 for Celtic in the same Season.

Yeah that is kind of the problem!

For passion just as a football fixture the merseyside derby matches any inter city derby in the world.

The exception. For the most these games are how I described them, boring.

im a Liverpool fan (and celtic) but i can admit that the old firm is far bigger than the merseyside derby , might not be as much quality on show , but the passion is unreal , oh and both teams have the same sort of quality of squads , well maby celtic have a slightly better team but theres not the same amount of difference as the difference between torres and yakubu , and gerrard and arteta or cahill , or neville and carragher , and usualy reina and howard ..(all the Liverpool names being the better of the quality:P)
so its a fairly balanced game interms of quality , whilst the merseyside derby is just a walk for Liverpool , nah only joking toffees , it should be a good game , ending 3-1 to Liverpool:) torres hatrick Smile

I would say it was the best british derby during the glory days of the 80's when Liverpool and Everton were the best teams in england, the rivalry was superb back then when we had 2 cup finals against each other an
