The only reaso Kuyt has done OK on the right wing is due to the fact the opposition we were up against recently has been poor. I am the first to say we need a quality new winger but we already have a good one in Jermaine Pennant, who is more than capable in my opinion of doing a good job out there. No, he is not the answer to our many problems, but he is a quick, direct player who is infact a right winger. Why on earth is he not being played? Kuyt does nothing in that position. That position is improtant as it is where your danger players play,, and even more so in the current formation we have adopted. With one forward you need the wingers and Gerrard in the free role to give him a lot of support. Kuyt with his lack of pace cant not do this. Its not his fault he is not a right winger or good enough, the manager should realise this.

I heard a lot from Liverpool fans about this winning streak but let's look at those games:

Inter at home (against 10 men)
Middlesbrough at home
Bolton away
West Ham at home
Newcastle at home
Inter away (against 10 men)
Reading at home

Yes, Liverpool did well to win them all and Torres scored loads of goals, but once he comes up against a top defence he's stubbed out like a cigarette.

So Ronaldo still hasn't scored against a good team yet either because when playing against a team of ten men it doesn't count in your book. Wink

Man United outplayed Liverpool from the first minute and yet again the players went missing.....

reina was at fault for two goals but that happens he is still agood player, steve bennet has had a howler he didnt control the game and ruined it as a spectacle even though Man Utd still would have one....

gerrard had a bad game it happens but for some people to question one of the greatest ever Liverpool players is a disgrace..... he has consistently been brillant for Liverpool and has scored in basically every cup final apperance.

It makes me sick to say but united were always going to win because their better.....

finally although Rooney had agood game his finishing was an embarssment sorry shocking

maybe next season we'll aim for a bore draw instead of going and lying down like always... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

How can people criticise Benitez for not making attacking changes?! He was going to bring on Crouch, but then Mascherano got himself sent off. After that he couldn't make attacking changes. We would've got a real battering then. After the sending off it was damage limitation. We were a goal and a player down on Man Utd's turf FFS!

The sending off was early on in the game, what are you on about? They were one nil down and werent bringing on Crouch any time soon.

It was late on when they were 2 and 3 nil down that he should have brought on Crouch etc and actually had a go at winning it, instead he just gave up.

I think he was going to change things at half time because Crouch was warming up. Unfortunately a minute before half time Mad Masch got sent off. Making attacking changes to try and win the game at Old Trafford when you're a man and goal down will only end one way - humiliation.

Rafa would never have made a sub at half time. He might have had Crouch warming up to introduce him around the 60minute mark. Thats when he makes his first changes in every game I've seen

The thing is Gerrard showed no fight, no passion. Gerrard is on my favourite ever players but i can not defend him for quite a few recent bad performances against the Premierships best teams. I hope he turns up for the Derby game!

If i was in your position, i'd want Ramos as well.

Ramos is an amazing manager, and far better suited to the grime of the frivolous, insignificant lowly peanut competitions. He's better suited at dealing with small-timers...

Only joking. I respect every competition, and the UEFA cup IS a VERY good competition. It has provided me with great entertainment, and is full of stars.

Ramos really is superb though. He's one of my favourite managers, and Tottenham are one of my favourite teams.

Good...so show some damn respect!! Wink

Talking of RESPECT, it's high time these premiership footballers let their feet do the talking, not their mouths. Maybe Mascherano is unfortunate and is paying a high price for what Ashley Cole did in midweek, but at the end of the day just because Riley got it wrong by not punishing Cole, that doesn't mean that any disrespect from anyone after that shouldn't be punished either - two wrongs don't make a right. A line was drawn after the Cole incident and I thought everyone was aware of the clampdown on surrounding and hounding referees. Clearly not Mascherano.

I was speaking to a Liverpool fan (a proper Scouser) at work today and asked him his opinion of the sending off. He said "if I put my hand into an alligator's mouth, no doubt the alligator will bite the fcuker off. Although I could blame the alligator, it's my fault for tempting him. I shouldn't have given him the chance". The point is clear: Mascherano shouldn't have tempted Bennett, which he did several times after getting the yellow card.

So Javier "tempted" Bennett into sending him off? Rolling Eyes

If asking the ref whats going on is a yellow card offence then why wasnt Babel given a yellow? Alonso? Aurelio? even Ronaldo?

Looking at your little youtube video, it shows the tackle on Torres that lead to Masch being sent off was awful, Ferdinand lead with his arm yet Torres is carded for having a moan which he is totally within his rights to do so. Rio get a yellow?

Bennett is an awful referee.

I'd say that "tempted" is a very apt word to use in describing Mascherano's actions.

He didn't simply ask the referee what was going on, he repeated the question in the referee's face with that annoying cocky little smile like a spoilt child who had just been grounded for being naughty.

And just like that child is tempting his mother to just turn around and snap with increased punishment, Mascherano tempted Bennett into further action.

But hey, maybe Mascherano missed the whole incident and genuinely didn't know what Torres got booked for and so he simply had to rush 30 yards to the referee, push Alonso out of the way and get in the refs face Laughing

Oi, Crabs: let's say Mascherano said "what's happening?" to Bennett, and he replied "I've just booked Torres for dissent". You think Masch would have just walked away, do you? He came there to CONFRONT the referee - ugly fcukin goofy crooked teeth smiling or not, he CONFRONTED the ref! He came to argue, running 20 yards in an aggressive manner, even pushing Alonso away to speak to the ref.

I agree that the referee was inconsistent i.e. Torres was very unlucky to get booked, but I don't think Rio deserved a yellow card. In fact on 31 seconds on the video, he gets the ball. The second one was a foul but no more. Besides, Bennett could easily have sent off Torres for his challenge in the second half, but let it go.

Notice how Crabs doesn't want to discuss that challenge too much? Wink

Personally, this furore about this red card is glossing over Liverpool's inept performance. Maybe it did Benitez a favour as it would take the attention off another pathetic display against their bitter rivals. But red card or no red card, Liverpool were already losing the match and were destined to lose it comfortably in my opinion.

But rather than discuss the performance of his team, Benitez is choosing to speak to Keith Hackett to "find a solution" about the Mascherano incident. What solution??? Isn't it clear enough already? Tell your players to keep their mouths shut and you'll be fine. It's not rocket science Rolling Eyes

How about you give me a chance to actually reply to you first before assuming I dont wanna discuss the challenge. Good idea? Yeah? Rolling Eyes

Im not sure on the Torres challenge, to be honest I cant remember it but if its bad as you say it is then I'll have to go on your word..

Nobody will know how Liverpool would have got on if Masch wasnt sent off, 11 v 11 might have been a better showing from Liverpool...nobody will know. Having 10 men changed the game totally and in my opinion Bennett lost the game. Disregarding the sending off, Mr Bennett had no idea, even before the game it was Ferguson who was moaning about him & to be honest the game got the better of him as it has so many times before, His billing precieved him. Bennett is the new Poll.

Well that reply was worth waiting for...you don't even remember it!! Laughing I wonder why it slipped your memory bank...maybe because you knew it was a second yellow but selectively chose to ignore it Question

As for the rest of your post, it's just the same old rubbish regurgitated: blaming the ref for Liverpool's glaring deficiencies.
