Kuyt in Sundays game was shocking. I think Rafa's subs were dodgy - and when he put Benayoun on, it gave Kuyt the opportunity to go and join Torres up front. But Rafa told him to stay back, which was very odd.

Still, 3 points in the bag

It's called small team tactics mate... Rafa said it himself.

Fair enough - but when you are 1-0 down the first thing you try and do is score the equaliser, not sit back and damage-limitate. You don't see small teams like Wigan or Birmingham do the same.

Now what are you prattling on about. Has Moyes decided whether you are a big club or a small club yet? Seems to change his mind every week.

When was that? Was that before or after Torres was getting kicked about? The Kuyt-Benayoun substitution cam much later on lad.

I just heard some of Benitez's post match comments. He said that there were two games - one before the red card and one after. How? Man Utd were already winning 1-0 and were created several other chances anyway!

In fact, he said before the game that Liverpool were improving each time against Man Utd and were getting closer and closer to beating them. Not on this evidence!

Seriously, the amount of bullsh1t this guy tries to spin is comical. He's trying to pull the wool over people's eyes but honest Liverpool fans can see the alarming gulf in class between the two sides. Yet again, Liverpool fans walk away from this fixture with disappointment and inferiority from their most bitter rivals. The pain goes on and on for them.

In my opinion, only another CL final can half rescue another poor domestic season. But serious questions need to be asked of him now, and he has to start answering.

Tell me about it. If I hear "we control the game" one more time after a loss I might just put my foot through the screen!

GAMES ARE NOT TO BE CONTROLLED THEY ARE TO BE PLAYED AND WON.

You're right mate - I remember him saying that after the Barnsley game.

He's paid to control the results, not the matches.

Maybe a tad of anger management is required on your behalf?

The only reaso Kuyt has done OK on the right wing is due to the fact the opposition we were up against recently has been poor. I am the first to say we need a quality new winger but we already have a good one in Jermaine Pennant, who is more than capable in my opinion of doing a good job out there. No, he is not the answer to our many problems, but he is a quick, direct player who is infact a right winger. Why on earth is he not being played? Kuyt does nothing in that position. That position is improtant as it is where your danger players play,, and even more so in the current formation we have adopted. With one forward you need the wingers and Gerrard in the free role to give him a lot of support. Kuyt with his lack of pace cant not do this. Its not his fault he is not a right winger or good enough, the manager should realise this.

I heard a lot from Liverpool fans about this winning streak but let's look at those games:

Inter at home (against 10 men)
Middlesbrough at home
Bolton away
West Ham at home
Newcastle at home
Inter away (against 10 men)
Reading at home

Yes, Liverpool did well to win them all and Torres scored loads of goals, but once he comes up against a top defence he's stubbed out like a cigarette.

So Ronaldo still hasn't scored against a good team yet either because when playing against a team of ten men it doesn't count in your book. Wink

Man United outplayed Liverpool from the first minute and yet again the players went missing.....

reina was at fault for two goals but that happens he is still agood player, steve bennet has had a howler he didnt control the game and ruined it as a spectacle even though Man Utd still would have one....

gerrard had a bad game it happens but for some people to question one of the greatest ever Liverpool players is a disgrace..... he has consistently been brillant for Liverpool and has scored in basically every cup final apperance.

It makes me sick to say but united were always going to win because their better.....

finally although Rooney had agood game his finishing was an embarssment sorry shocking

maybe next season we'll aim for a bore draw instead of going and lying down like always... Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

How can people criticise Benitez for not making attacking changes?! He was going to bring on Crouch, but then Mascherano got himself sent off. After that he couldn't make attacking changes. We would've got a real battering then. After the sending off it was damage limitation. We were a goal and a player down on Man Utd's turf FFS!

The sending off was early on in the game, what are you on about? They were one nil down and werent bringing on Crouch any time soon.

It was late on when they were 2 and 3 nil down that he should have brought on Crouch etc and actually had a go at winning it, instead he just gave up.

I think he was going to change things at half time because Crouch was warming up. Unfortunately a minute before half time Mad Masch got sent off. Making attacking changes to try and win the game at Old Trafford when you're a man and goal down will only end one way - humiliation.

Rafa would never have made a sub at half time. He might have had Crouch warming up to introduce him around the 60minute mark. Thats when he makes his first changes in every game I've seen

That's correct. Ramos hasn't won the league or Champions League.

The thing is Gerrard showed no fight, no passion. Gerrard is on my favourite ever players but i can not defend him for quite a few recent bad performances against the Premierships best teams. I hope he turns up for the Derby game!
