Barcelona to put Deco up for sale

Barcelona are ready to put midfielder Deco up for sale.

Club insiders have told AS that Barca management want to make a mega signing in the summer and are preparing to sell one of their bigger names to help fund the deal.

Barca sports chief Txiki Begiristain and coach Frank Rijkaard are due to meet to discuss Deco's situation. No-one at the club doubts Deco's contribution, but with so many midfield options available to Rijkaard, management believe they can afford to sell him at the end of this season.

Barca paid £8 million for Deco two years ago from Porto, with Ricardo Quaresma going in the opposite direction. It's understood Barca will be seeking £20 million should Rijkaard agree to the player's sale.

Mega Signing = Henry or Lampard. No others even in the frame.

Hohoho... Barcelona would made a great deal if they get 20 million pounds for Deco, and in my opinion, they would do a good thing if they sign Lampard or Henry.

Feck all chance of getting Lampard tho and thats being generous, Henry is more of an unknown quantity when it comes to this tho.

Barça don't have enough money if they want to sign Lampard or Henry but I don't think they sell Deco. In my opinion, Deco is better than Lampard. But is possible that since next month there will be a sponsorship in the Barça's t-shirt. And with it Barça could earn 18-20 million euros a year and they could sign Henry or Lampard.

Selling Deco?
I think it is a very bad move. Plus, Mourinho is not going to leave lampard. I hope its just a rumor.

Well is possible but I don't think Barça sign Lampard next summer. The most possible is that Barça will sign Henry and they don't have enough money to sign Lampard too. But in two years is possible.
