I am sorry if this topic already exists
I am wandering what women's football books people have read or own and what they have thought of them I haven't read very many I have read Brandi Chastain's which is excellent, Mia Hamm's which was OK, another which I cannot remember the title of about the US national team and it was boring. I have a book which is more photos and features fleets called Women's soccer, also 3 lions on her shirt which I have yet to read and Belles of the ball which I bought off e bay from the author. I am currently reading Dick Kears ladies about a women's team who were very successful in the 1910's and 1920's until the game got banned ! |

My favourites are Boots and Laces - 2005 survey of top class womens football in the UK...loads of pictures and text about each of the National League clubs at the time and other themes about English womensfootball. Women on the Ball - Sue Lopez - Southampton legend , pioneer and Hall of Fame member. Her 40 years in the sport and a worldwide survey of the progress of the womens game. Great book by a great figure in the sport. Also like Three Lions and Kicking against Tradition by Wendy Owen, another pioneer of the modern day game
