No idea but I'm guessing it would be one from each country , except Great Britain and Ireland.

They play the games somewhere in Mexico but it is close to El Paso.

No place for Scurry , excellent Very Happy Barnie must have done enough at the Algarve to keep her place.

I'm pretty satisfied with that roster. I'd imagine that Barney put herself over the top with her ability to kick, and since Scurry doesn't have the reflexes of her earlier career making her special anymore Pia probably saw the liability she was becomming and has hopefully decided to move on.

Mitts (and Wagner) it seems is done for this cycle, if she's not fit at this point Pia's probably not going to risk it since the roster is so small. I've heard good things about Kacey White, but she plays the same position that HAO has recently been greatly improving in so she might not get a chance to prove herself until the end of games.

It will be interesting to see what Pia does with the lineups for the CONCACAF. The competition isn't of the highest caliber, but making a major mistake in the tournament (not qualifying for the Oly's) would be the end of her current job.

I'm just wondering here but say the US get to qualifier for the Olympics and the worst happens and they lose the final or don't get there , would they stick with Pia as coach? Surely they would give her more than a year.

I think the deal is:
1) US win the Olympics: Pia stays
2) US don't win and get severly beaten by any team (like they wehre by Brazil in WWC2007): Pia is history
3) US does a good run and are beaten by one goal in an thight game by the winner: Pia will most likely get another chance

So basically then anything other than another team thrashing them Pia is staying. Well hopefully Pia's tactics will not let that happen.

Well if they go out before the semis she is probably toast anyway. But otherwise yes, thats how I read it anyway.

Scorers were:

Carli Lloyd

Lauren Cheney

Abby Wambach 2

Heather O'Reilly

Tobin Heath

It's good to see different goal scorers now getting on the sheet. Another clean sheet for Barnie Smile She is proving good competition for Solo.

Anyone know if this is being televised in the US ?
