Shearer agrees new magpies deal

Alan Shearer has confirmed that he will sign a new one-year extension to his current Newcastle United deal before the weekend.

The 33-year-old's contract runs until the end of the current campaign so the signs are that he will end his career at St James' Park in May 2005.
