New united deal for giggs

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs hopes to continue playing for as long as possible after agreeing a contract that will keep him at Old trafford until the end of next season.

The 33-year-old former Wales international has spent his entire career with United, appearing in 727 games for the club since making his debut in March 1991.

I think Giggsy well and truely deserves a one year extention to his current contract. Although he hasn't quite been seen as much this year, due to the arrival of Nani, but I really do think Giggsy has another year in him yet. There was speculation that this was going to be his last as he hunts for a 10th Premiership Crown with Manchester United.

Mind you I think if he does get his trophy this year, maybe next year will be the season for him to get his 2nd European medal?!

think he is talking about the old european cup win back in the 60`s ......so officially they have won it twice

You must be including the Cup Winners Cup are you? Was he even playing then? If you are, surely you must be counting Liverpools Uefa Cup medals too. Or you just don't know much about your owen club Confused

Giggsy deserves a new contract and if stays fit could continue for the club for a couple more years. A fantastic role model on and off the pitch for the kids.

considering he joined the red devils and played for the team since march 2001.. then he's indeed won two european winners medals.. one for the winners cup and the other one's for the european super cup.. both were exactly gotten in 1991..
