Blackburn got a late goal from Paul Dickov in the 90th minute to pull out a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough at the Riverside.

Arsenal advanced thru to the semi's winning on penalty kicks 3-1, after a 2-2 score at the end of 120 minutes. Silva, Cygan and Larsson cashed in on the pk's while McIndoe was the lone scorer for Doncaster. Doncaster got a goal in the first extra time period (104th min.) from Paul Green and Arsenal's Gilberto struck back in the 120th minute to equalize and send the game to penalty kicks. Doncaster first got on the board in the 4th minute on a goal by Michael McIndoe and Arsenal later got a goal from Quincy Owusu-Abeyie in the 64th minute.

The four remaining sides fighting for the cup will be Wigin, Manchester United, Arsenal and Blackburn.

Im allowed another favourite now that Doncaster have been eliminated arent i?

Wigan would have beaten that team that Arsenal put out today, Wenger will have t add a couple more stars for the semi me thinks.

i thought it was pretty imbarassing for Arsenal....even if you say well they were all reserve players...but still there is a certain expectation from the name "Arsenal" that you have to live up to ...if you lose to doncaster you'll never hear the end of it

yes maybe we should be embarassed as bit but we are in the semis and thats all that matters really , winning . Chelsea are accused of grinding out results often but i bet you wont worry about that as long as you are still winning matches . Everyone would like to play attractive football all the time but it doesnt always happen that way in cup matches .
