It's that time of the year again, when the players cast their vote on which of their colleague's has been the outstanding performer (/young performer) of the season. The contenders are:

Player of the Year

1. David James (Portsmouth)
2. Francesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
3. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)
4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
5. Fernando Torres (Liverpool)
6. Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal)

Young Player of the Year

1. Micah Richards (Manchester City)
2. Francesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
3. Ashley Young (Aston Villa)
4. Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United)
5. Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
6. Fernando Torres (Liverpool)

What do you make of the nominations? And who would get your vote for either accolade?

micah richards?

from memory he played about 3 good games all season....

ronaldo will probably win both but it would be good if Torres won something if only just to mix it up a bit

Ronaldo will win both and well deserved, but would be nice to see someone else win young player.

Id like Torres to win it but no doubt the greasy ponce ronaldo will win it Rolling Eyes

Maybe Torres for the young player award, after all, its his first season over here and has done great! but hey, why would that be took into consideration? Rolling Eyes

Ronaldo is the only answer. Even people with their silly biases should be able to see that.

The spotty ponce is a shoe in to win the main award. It's just a shame that somebody who's had such an impact in his first season in a new country/league will most probably get no recognition other than being nominated.

I still love you though Nando Wink

I'm sticking with my boy nando, it isn't just about goals. Torres has meant so much to us we have actually built a side around him in his first Season. No other foreign player has EVER had a bigger impact in his first Season than Torres has at Liverpool.

If you're a forward what is it about other than goals? Cause Torres isn't that high on assists either and sure you may have built a team round him but Liverpool still came forth. Ronaldo has scored more (from midfield no less), created more and Man Utd are top. It's a no contest. Torres has had a brilliant season and deserves second place with Febregas third, but Ronaldo has just been better in every single department. It's a no contest.
