Any Liverpool fans want to give me an opinion on Lucas so far in his Liverpool career? Personally haven't been that impressed when I've seen him but he looks a competent player who will improve.

My mate rated him very highly at the start of the season. Reckoned he could go on to better Gerrard one day but think his opinion has decreased somewhat over the past few months. A good run in the team appears to do him more harm than good. Perhaps the pressure

Yeah, earlier in the season I read a thread on a Liverpool forum about Lucas > Anderson but the hype around the blonde Brazillian has decreased somewhat, haven't heard that much from him.

Was apparently player of the season in Brazil, he'll surely have to show more than he has to have a chance at Liverpool.

He's had a couple of good outings but he has a hell of a lot of work to do. He's a bit of a step up from what we got from Sissoko, but that's not saying much. His touch needs to improve, as does his overall composure... He's shown he can shoot the ball but it will be a while before he can steal Gerrard, Mascherano, or Alonso's spot in the starting XI. I'm hoping he improves and lives up to the hype. He's not a bad player, but he's not one of those guys who has made an impact either.

Lucas has a bit of a problem with the pace of the game here in England, in my opinion - physically he is a little lightweight and games have a tendency to by-pass him. If he can come to terms with that i think he'll settle much more. I don't think pressure is much of a problem - he wasn't fazed when playing Inter Milan, anyway (which you could sort of tell from the massive grin on his face before coming out onto the pitch).

Also, if he gets more chances in attacking midfield, a la Gerrard, i think he'll excel. He's far better further on, with a real ability to split defences with his passes. He hasn't shown nor had much of a chance to show this, but i think if you watch him in the Carling Cup versus Chelsea that shows his potential quite a bit. Like i say, he has struggled to settle into the Premier League and most people are still reserved in their opinion about him.

As for the game, it's been good. The middle was very good either side of a slow start and us easing up towards the end - the passing from Lucas, Benayoun and Pennant has been precise, quick and most have been looking relaxed which is good to see. Hyypia and Skrtel have coped with most things at the back; although Fulham are managing half-chances so we have to be wary.

You should have seen his latest two international appearances I can tell you that he was in fire!! He scored in both matches (against Greece and Bulgaria) and was the best player of the Finland's squad in both games.

Has been average so far. However, in some matches he has shown some of his potential.

I think we to keep in mind that its first season here as a foreign player. Not everyone is Torres. Very Happy
