Celtic v Rangers....again |
|
I know it's early days yet as we have Aberdeen to overcome todays first but I will be away for a few days and won't get the chance. If we beat Aberdeen today, a win here would take us 5 points ahead with momentum on our side. They will be without Cuellar after his straight red on Wednesday night and could also possibly be without Alan McGregor & Elbows McCulloch. Old man Weir will return after his one game suspension as will Calwell for Celtic. I expect us to line up the same way as we did on Wednesday night with Scott Brown starting from the bench. Think Cuellar will be a big loss for them and we could take this opportunity and roll them over.
I'm going to go for a 3-0 win to the ghood ghuys and build our hopes that little bit extra. Still can't see Rangers crumbling and us pipping them to the title but it has certianly made for better viewings (for the neutrals) than recent years |

2-1. McDonald and Robson for the Bhoys. Cousins for the scum.

I can't remember the last time i was so absorbed in a game that did not involve Reading. You literally could not take your eyes off of it for a second for fear of missing something. It kept you entertained throughout and the usual passion and commitment from these players was there as usual and their were goals and chances throughout. I thought McDonald was a fraction offside for the first goal, good link up play between him and Big Jan though, speeding through the gap and leaving Alexander with no chance at all. The replay i think confirmed the fact that he was just offside. That goal really set the tone for the day and Rangers really had a go after going behind so early and got their reward when a Davis corner was turned in by the back of David Weir's head! Another set piece for the second Rangers goal, with an unmarked Cousin scoring after a near post flick on from another Davis ball in and Rangers were looking to really assert themselves. But the fun wasn't over and Celtic equalised once more when McDonald tried his luck with a curling effort that found it's way into the net after lobbing an unexpectant Alexander, whether it took a fortunate touch off of Dailly or not, i didn't quite see. A frantic last forty minutes or so ensued and the winner came when Broadfoot appeared to tug down little McDonald and Robson stood up and smashed the resulting spot kick down the middle for 3-2. A really superb contest down to the last second. Best Old Firm game in a very long while in my opinion.
Another game which for me confirmed my long standing opinion of Barry Ferguson - the guy is a complete pr*ck. In saying that I thought JVOH could of gone for that dangerous high tackle on Amdy Faye. |

I would of gladly let Robson take it. Missing two in two old firm games would have been virtually unforgivable and would have not given three points, if he had any doubts at all he should not take the penalty. Robson was clearly pumped as hell as well, i never had any doubts he would score.

I think McDonald done the right thing and let Robson take it. McDonald was not our original penalty taker anyway but personal pride took over and he wanted to add to his tally so he took it last week. If he had've missed it on Sunday aswell, they guy would have been in an all time low. Would have put us out of the race for good. Despite this though, he was my man of the match. He was everywhere. One of the best performances he has put in all season. Also glad that Strachan had the balls to leave Scott Brown on the bench. Caldwell had a blinder. Also probably his best performance in a Hooped jersey. This zonal marking pish is really getting to me. Maybe not Weir's but Cousin's goal could have been avoided if we took them man for man.
Good performance for the Bhoys despite making me sweat for it. Great result. We're now 5 points clear with Rangers having 3 games in hand. Still fancy them to win it but we have certainly clawed our way back |
