maybe it was black and white in Italy, but we already had colour TV's in Spain between 1998 and 2002, when we won 3 tittles. How many have you won in the last 10 years?

No, but I remember this:

you can clearly see in the video that had Messi let the ball go over him Eidur was on the left post ready to tap it in. that would have been a clear goal but Messi just made it a controversial/illegal one.

that video i posted above though is pretty ridiculous. Carlos stopped the ball with his hand (thus denying Olympiacos a clear goal - and for that i thank him!) and the ref gave nothing.

anyway, let's stop this silly argument. let's just agree that you guys suck and get on with our lives.

When you bring money into the game of football, you also bring politics into it too.

I watch most of the spanish games that are on sky, take the real madrid match last night for example.
Raul was tugged outside the box, the infridgment clearly started outside the box, yet in his wisdom, the referee chose to award Real Madrid a penalty.

As a referee i would love to say that Spanish referee's are not biased, although i tend to feel that from what i have witnessed, those people who shout about the top two teams getting favours may well have enough evidence to make a convincing case.

Is the Spanish league dirtier? and are the referee's poorer?

I watched spanish games where i would have given out about 8 yellow cards yet the referee has only brandished two. other games i tend to agree with the referee's handling of the game, that being said, both the spanish league and Premiership are guilty of being too lenient of one offence.....dissent.

I have watched far too many games where Spanish players have surrounded the referee and tried to intmidate him with their antics and the referee hasn't done anything about it....thus sending out the message to the amateur leagues that it is Okay to try and intimidate referee's.

Other players have used hand gestures and shouted at the referee in a manner that is clear dissent and yet the referee chose to do nothing. In the premiership it is even worse, i have watched players blatantly argue with referee's and the walk away and mouth (clearly for the camera) That is a fuc*ing sh*t decision.

Rooney_79586.shtml'>Wayne Rooney should have been sent off a couple of years ago for his antics with one of the referee's and didn't even get a yellow card.

Although the thing that is creeping into the game is blatant diving, Fifa brought in the rule about simulation to stop this happening, some referee's in Spain are actually cautioning for diving, but in England you would think the rule didn't exist.

Christiano Ronaldo's first season saw him lying flat on his face more times than he managed to stay on his feet, between fellow referee's and i, we would discuss how whenever ronaldo got anywhere near the 18 yard box he dropped like a stone without even a hint of contact.

discussion through the rank and file of referee's have highlighted the need for professional referee's to be tougher on certain decisions although it seems that some referee's want to shy away from inforcing the rules that they are paid to enforce.

maybe some of the supporters of the professional teams should take a trip down to their public park and count the number of cards that an amateur referee dishes out in any given match then maybe they might stop all the conspiracy theory nonsense....

The defender starts touching raul outside the box, but he pulls his shirt INSIDE of it.
In the barcelona game, the ref canceled a legal goal to Senna. Villarreal managed to beat them though Very Happy Very Happy

Hahaha funny. We won 6 Champions Leagues because of Franco, because as we all know, He was not the dictator of Spain, he was the dictator of the whole Europe Laughing
But who cares Barcelona has won all their tittles under socialist governments, that's lame. Now Zapatero must be sad, Madrid are gonna win la Liga, but thanks to Franco, he's been 33 years dead but still rules Europe Mr. Green

Is Spanish football a dirty game
