Looks like they are going down down down after losing 5-1 to Bilbao and some tough games coming up.

I put this in here tho because they have a wealth of talent and stars, surely the vultures are circling? I hope Comolli is one of them!

Who would you like to pick from the Valencia corpse? Laughing

Villa, Zigic, Silva, Miguel, Helguera, Albelda, Baraja, Moreintes, Edu, Joaquin........

Pretty much everyone they have.

It's unthinkable that a team with a team as good as theirs could go down - but it could well happen.

Truly shocking. It would be an upset of the highest order. At the start of the season they were one of the favourites to win the league, and had a very real chance of winning the CL - especially as they've got such a good record in it (CL final 00 and 01) and were unlucky to not be in the semi final last season.

I'd love to have David Silva at Liverpool though. I'd really love him here!!! If Crouch leaves, i'd also like to have Zigic to come in and warm the bench in his place, and occasionally come on and make an impact with his height like Crouch. I'd also happily take Albiol, Moretti, Miguel, Vicente or Joaquin.

For Real Madrid - i'd like David Silva or Joaquin for the wings, and Raul Albiol.

Well, that's why Benitez left, and since then, they been nowhere near as good. A reflection on the quality of Benitez maybe?

It's just a shame they managed to deny Getafe a trophy. Getafe are far more worthy.

So Jono, who would you want to sign for Spurs?

I personally would go all out for Albiol and Hildebrand. Albiol can cover two positions you need strengthening, and Hildebrand is a quite a young goal keeper, who's ten times as good as Robbo. Really good players.

How many of those players will end up in England? Lots of money going to be thrown around again. I see another transfer record in terms of money spent.

It's really hard to say. If they do go down, then most of the team will leave, and i wouldn't be surprised to see Benitez bring a few in, Villa go to Chelsea, and maybe one of the wingers end up at Arsenal. The rest will probably stay in Spain.

If they stay up, some of the big names will be going for sure anyway. Villa certainly won't be there next season. I can't see Silva sticking around either, especially if Rafa opens his arms (which he surely will).

Chelsea will be the last place Villa will end up. He's already come out stating he wants to come to Arsenal; but if Arsenal don't bite, he's stated he'd like to line up next to Torres at Liverpool. I couldn't see both Arsenal and Liverpool passing up on Villa to allow him to go to Chelsea.

Huh? You mean you don't think Chelsea will be the place he ends up?

I'm not sure Arsenal or Liverpool will sign him. Arsenal don't want to spend the money, and Liverpool might not have the money to spend. Also, he might not fit our system. But, if he isn't too expensive, then i could see one of the two buying him just to stop Chelsea getting him (and because he is a quality player as well).

I think even if they dont go down, many will leave. I think having Ramos puts us in a good position to lure a couple to the lane, from what i hear hes held in gihgh regard in Spain by players.

wenger has already said that he is not in the transfer market for villa so personally i cant see him at Arsenal next year here will be at Liverpool or Chelsea if anythink. i have to say that wenger is a bit stupid not to want him but you never no what going on in wenger mind he always got something lined up.

There is no guarentee they will down btw but either way a lot of players are going to leave.

Up for grabs.

Canizares, Sunny, Maduro, Albiol, Marchena, Villa, Baraja, Albeda, Morientes, Hildebrand, Banega, Fernandes, Del Horno, Vincente, Joaquin, Zigic, Alexis, Silva, Edu, Miguel.

Everyone of those players could fit into a top team in Europe so real, real quality avaliable.

At Man Utd I'd be interested in Hildebrand, Villa and Silva.

Hopefully Bilbao (awesome result btw!!!) will pick up Del Horno permanantly.

Well, why would Wenger want to buy a £20x striker when he already has 3 very good strikers, and 3 very good young strikers with lots of potential?

He's in the market to strengthen the areas that need strengthening.

I'm praying Liverpool sign David Silva.

The 3 i'd most want:

Silva - probably the best left midfielder in the world that's on the market. Also, very young with the potential to world class.

Miguel - One of the ebst right backs in the world. Finnan is getting on a bit, and Miguel would be fantastic to take over.

Villa - One of the hottest strikers on the market in world football.

Miguel's actual defending is questionable and Benitez likes defenders who can defend usually. Also isn't Villa a bit similar to Torres? He isn't going to sit on the bench either. Althuogh a 3 man attack of Torres, Villa and Silva, with the later playing out wide is mouthwatering.

Silva is definitely the most likely of the three I'd say.
