I think the idea is that the bank would force us to sell Torres and Babel as they were the players the loan was used to sign. That's the impression i got. Not that i think it'll ever come to that, and Rick Parry has already discredited such a story (then again, its Parry).



If he did somehow leave, i think it'd be to:

- England: Chelsea. He has said he wouldn't join United, so that leaves Arsenal and Chelsea, the former of which i doubt would pay up.

- Spain: Barcelona. It's one of them or Real Madrid, and he's also ruled out the latter, what with his club being Atletico Madrid.

- Italy: AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus. I don't think he'd have too much preference, although i could actually see him joining Juve somehow. Assuming they improved over the next season.

As i say, i don't think he'll leave - not unless we go a few seasons without any silverware.

We can always hope he does, after all he would want to win a league title & face it, it's never going to happen with Liverpool but with Juve everything is possible .

Well i suppose if you're in a league with little real competition anything is possible. Plus if you can't win the league, you can always fix it.

Damn it, everybody is hitting the Old Lady under the belt, but hey it's expected... after all they haven't won the league title in about 2 decades or more and by the way there is lots of competition in Italy, last year Milan were CL winners.

Italy is at least as competitive a England I would say.

Anyway, on with the rumors, Juve are said to have Evra on their radar

"Manchester United left back Patrice Evra is a summer transfer target for Juventus according to reports in the News of the World.

United have been making the news off the field this week after they confirmed they have agreed new long terms deals with Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Wes Brown. However, it appears that talks with Evra, whose contract expires at the end of next season, haven’t been quite as constructive.

Representatives from the Italian club were reportedly at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to watch Evra in the first leg of United’s Champions League quarter-final first leg which they won 1-0.

Evra, a French international, has been a consistent part of the United first team since signing for the Red Devils in 2006 from Monaco. Indeed his performances at left back where he is almost as effective going forwards as defensively have ensured he has become a key part of the United side who would be reluctant to let him leave.

However, it is thought that Evra’s wage demands may be behind the defender’s decision not to sign a new contract already. Evra is likely to be well aware of the new deals his colleagues have signed this week and as such is unlikely to back down in his demands, and it is thought that this could lead to Juventus enticing him away from Old Trafford if they can find an agreeable financial package.

Meanwhile, United have reportedly slapped a price tag of £10 million on Evra in the hope of warding off any potential suitors. "

"Italian Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan are both reportedly interested in signing Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, according to the Tolgo international's agent.

Emmanual Adebayor, who on Saturday struck his 27th goal in 45 matches for the Gunners this season in all competitions, in reportedly in demand in Italy.

The African star, who has been short-listed for the PFA Player of the Year award, has impressed this season following the departure from Arsenal of goalscoring legend Thierry Henry.

And his agent claims that Milan, against whom Adebayor scored when the Rossoneri met, and lost to, the Gunners in over two legs in the Champions League, are interested in taking him to the San Siro. The agent also says Juventus are weighing up an approach for Adebayor in the summer.

Although Milan have been strongly linked with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, Adebayor has outscored the Ivorian, who has managed eight league goals for the Blues in a season disrupted by injury concerns and the African Cup of Nations.

Adebayor is also, at 24, six years younger than Drogba, and his representative, Vincenzo Morabito, feels the Togo star is a more bankable asset than the Chelsea forward.

“Milan have looked at him and so have Juventus,” Morabito told the Italian media.

“He is a young player to sign and with respect to other attackers like Drogba, he has age on his side from the perspective of a longer career.

“He is a striker who has had a great season and is the right investment for the future.”

Despite Morabito pitch to the Serie A giants, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stressed to his stars that leaving the Gunners would be counter-productive to their careers, even tough Arsenal have fallen short this season in both Premier League and Champions League in recent weeks.

Alexander Hleb has been strongly linked with the likes of Barcelona and Inter, while Mathieu Flamini has still not signed a new contract, and his current deal expires in June with Juventus monitoring evelopments and Arsenal insisting they will not be held to ransom by the Frenchman's wage demands.

However, Adebayor has repeatedly pledged his allegiance to Wenger and Arsenal, and has spoken of rising to the challenge for the Gunners next season."

Man Utd are the biggest team in Europe along with Barce and Real. Why would he leave Man Utd to play for a team who isn't even top of their league, plays in front of a fraction of the fans and is cash strapped?

There are plenty of reasons a player may want to leave a club.

Maybe we could just make death threats against him and then he'll stay, kind of like Gerrard Evra hasn't even gave a single hint that he wants to leave, he's in the middle of sorting out his new contract and he'll be at United for a while yet.



Alan Smith wasn't needed anymore and needed to be sold to make room for new arrivals. Rossi was sold because he was surplus to requirements and Fergie was looking at Tevez + a centre forward which eventually didn't come to fruition.

The key words there being "sold", they didn't leave.



Juve aren't in the top bracket anymore, you're obviously having delusions of grandure. Leaving United for Juventus is a major step down.

Juve is the most prestigious club in Italy and arguably in Europe. Right now they've finished gelling and you can tell how competitive they are. I'm sure they're gonna reach at least the semi-finals of the CL. We've finished gelling the team, now we just need a couple of high-status players (like D. Villa) and we'll be right back in it (winning the league and competing in CL). Believe me, no one says no to Juve, no one (no not even the referees!)

i have always liked Juve. i cant see them making the semi final of the CL next season though. they need to get a few world class players in before they have a chance in my eyes...would a player rather go to one of the milan clubs or Juve??

Well Juventus finished above AC this season but AC without doubt have a far superior squad.

How is that? Juve finished the season on high and have already earned a CL spot. In the 2 matches between Juve & Milan, they drew and the other was one by Juve. Milan depend solely on Pato & Kaka, if they're both in bad form they lose (they lost to a team like Atlanta, beaten 4-0 by Juve).

Pato - Best player for Milan, he's ratio is just about 1 goal every 2nd match, a copy of the old Ronaldo but better and perhaps injury free.

I think they're pretty superior to pretty much all the teams in the whole world (except for C. Ronaldo)

All of those Juventus players are either not that good or even older. The only two worth a damn are Trezeguet and Buffon. Juventus are just not what they were.

Blanc Confident Of Signing Flamini

Juventus managing director Jean-Claude Blanc says he is confident of pippin AC Milan to the signing of Matthieu Flamini, and reveals that the Arsenal midfielder was a supporter of the Bianconeri as a child.

It is looking increasingly likely that French star Flamini will be leaving the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old, who is now regarded as one of Europe’s best defensive midfielders, has still to sign an extension to his Arsenal contract that runs out in June.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, who has given Flamini a deadline to sign up or leave, is now almost resigned to losing him.

Juventus and Milan are the two main teams tussling for his signature, but it is the former who are believed to be in pole position.

“We have the advantage,” said Blanc.

“As a child Flamini was a supporter of Juve. We have a sporting project in place, and we will be in the Champions League. Milan will not.”

Flamini, who has Italian ancestry, has stated on numerous occasions in the past that it is his intention to play in Serie A at some point of his career.

Yeah I said it cause he thinks Ferguson doesn't let players currently in the first team leave or sell them. They might not have been needed but still first team players and they were still sold.

Juve are going to keep their young stars

Secco also confirmed that the on-loan Sebastiano Giovinco, Claudio Marchisio and Paolo De Ceglie would be returning to Juve next season.

There had been speculation that the transfer chief was trying to offload the trio to Palermo in exchange for Amauri.

”Giovinco, Marchisio and De Ceglie will return yes. Davide Lanzafame, who is on-loan at Bari is playing very well, but we will send him for experience at a team in Serie A,” he concluded.
