The agent of Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that Real Madrid have made a £48 million offer in the last week.

Swedish newspaper Goteborgs-Posten quotes the representative confirming that Real placed an official bid for the striker a few days ago.

However, he also noted that Juventus rejected the offer out of hand, as they wish to build their side on his shoulders.

Ibrahimovic has taken to Serie A like a duck to water, already scoring 16 goals and proving a decisive figure in winning their 28th Scudetto.

The Swedish international was signed from Ajax on the final day of the transfer window for £11.5m, though Fabio Capello had been tracking his progress for at least three years and had tried to capture him during his time at Roma.

Over the last 12 months he has gone from strength to strength, taking a starring role for Sweden in the Euro 2004 finals before leading Juve to the Serie A title.

Jeasus, Ive never rated Zlatan Ibrahimavich that much. Not £48 million much anyway. He isnt better than Ronaldo or Raul so why go and spen £48 mill on a sub? Hes good and you cant say he's not but come on 48 million, that is just over the top.

Hes much better than Ronaldo and Raul, he scores goals when he isnt a golscoring striker as much as a playmaker, he hasd fantastic feet, great heading abilit and his passing is sublime as well as havuing an eye for goal.

he will replace owen and ronaldo.
