I would say Evra instead of Clichy and perhaps even Flamini ahead of Fabregas or Gerrard.

So in other words, put Arsenal and United together and you have your PFA Premier League Team Of The Year.

But any three of those would be ahead of Ashley Young.

It's a joke that Evra isn't in there. He has arguably been the best defender in the league this season, let alone best left back.

Much better than Clichy.

Who chooses these teams?

Oh and how Flamini isn't there isn't beyond me. He's probably been the best midfielder excluding Ronaldo.

It is a highly prestigious award given the voting comes from the professional ranks.

What this means exactly, I really don't know. Is it the players, managers, executive boards or is it journalists and commentators. I couldn't tell you.

Are you serious?

That can't be right, surely. It would be hugely flawed if that was the case

It is correct that they're chosen in January, so they're essentially pointless. Hence Fabregas is on the side.

In my opinion Mascherano and Flamini should be in place of Fabregas and Gerrard. Maybe someone in place of Young, although there has hardly been a host of top left-wingers this year. And of course Evra above Clichy.

The Player of the Year was awarded to Ronaldo; the second place i believe being Torres, with third Adebayor. Funnily enough, that's exactly the same order as with the top scorers' list. Which in itself shows you exactly how meaningless the whole thing is.

Ashley Young i thought and feel has had a good season and dont see why he shouldnt be in that team unless any other left sided winger is better than him this season?

Interesting to see not even one Chelsea player was deemed good enough to make the best team..

I'm going to be contraversial now and would have Berbatov in there over Adebayor any day..

He's such a class player even I a West Ham fan would pay money to watch him play football.....

Ashley Young has been one of the best players in the EPL this season and fully deserves recognition. He is one of the main reasons behind Villa's good season. He must surely be leading the way in assists. Ronaldo is the only midfielder I would say has had a better season.

What has Gerrard done this season? Wouldn't have him on there. Can't argue with the rest of it though. Evra & Clichy was 50/50
