Dundee have signed David O'Brien on a new one year deal, but Scott Robertson and Paul Dixon have refused the club's final offer of a new contract.

The club are in final discussions with several other players and have given them a deadline of the end of the current week, at that point the club will be speaking to already identified signing targets.

Mickael Antoine-Curier today committed his future to Dundee. The Frenchman told us “I’m delighted” when we spoke to him after he had penned a three year deal to keep him at Dens.

David Cowan committed himself to the club until 2010

Left back Craig Forsyth has signed a new Dundee contract, the youngster put pen to paper on a one year deal with an option for another year.

Craig spent the last two months of the season just ended on loan at Montrose where he made ten first team appearances for the Links Parkers.

Forsyth’s father, Stewart, made 231 appearances for Dundee in the 1980s and nineteen year old Craig made his first team debut for Dundee in a 3-2 win at Livingston in November 2006 when just 17 years of age.

Dundee brought in their third new boy of the close season when Mark Gilhaney signed a two year deal at Dens to bring the first tangible reward from a busy weekend for Alex Rae and Dave MacKinnon

Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald is a £500,000 target for Norwich, with Celtic and Everton also interested

The club have also been linked with others, most notably former goalkeeper Rab Douglas, Livingston striker Robert Snodgrass and former Kilmarnock man Gary Holt, who is unsettled at Wycombe Wanderers.

MacKinnon declined to reveal the identity of tomorrow’s arrival but believes he will be warmly welcomed by the fans.

“We are trying to take the club to the next level and I think this signing will help us to do that,” said MacKinnon.

“He is a well-known figure in Scottish football and has had other clubs— including from the SPL— interested in him.

Former Gretna captain Chris Innes has agreed terms with Dundee but a last minute personal hitch meant that the defender has not yet signed for the Dark Blues. The club hope that a deal can be completed later in the week. Chief Executive Dave MacKinnon said "We've agreed terms and seem to have ticked all the boxes, but something came up at the last minute and it will be later in the week before we know for definite whether Chris will be coming here.

Former Dundee keeper Rab' Douglas was at Dens too this evening, he's under contract to Leicester City until 31st of July and has asked Dundee for training facilities which the club were happy to agree to - Rab' will be involved in pre-season training with the Dark Blues

Kevin McDonald signed for Burnley this afternoon and the Scotland Under 21 star heads for the English Championship for a fee in the region of half a million pounds with our best wishes after extending his contract at the start of the year to ensure Dundee got a decent fee for him.

McDonald made his debut for Dundee at the tender age of 16 in a Challenge Cup match at Hamilton in September 2005 and made his league debut the following Saturday against St Johnstone, a fortnight later he made his first start in an away win at Brechin City. The first of 16 goals in Dundee’s colours came in a 4-0 win over St Mirren at Dens in December of that year.
