Before I start off I know the title of the thread is so great Very Happy

Grant has a result of 5 defeats since succeeding Jose Murinho and his team has blown the title race wide open, last Saturday by beating United. Of course his team is made of 1xx millions. Nonetheless he is still in the semi-final and has a great chance to knock Liverpool out and might as well win the CL + the EPL title.
Of course for us to respect him the minimum is to knock out Liverpool and compete for the EPL (which he has already is doing).

So now he feels discriminated and if wins those 2 titles he has all the right to leave Chelsea in my opinion. He's a good coach and we've taken him for granted - or what do you think?

As nobody has posted on your thread heres my opinion about Avram Grant..

The man only got the Chelski job because of his friendship with comrade Roman and will never
win over the fans of his team what ever he dose as they belive he back stabbed their hero to get the job.

I think any coach with the squad Chelsea have would be able to do well if they had his position.....

I find him to be the most boring and dull manager ever and watching him being interviewed is painfull...

I don't know about anybody else but I miss Jose Mourinho's post match antics and crazy comments!

yes of course we have .....but no one really cares .. I dont care about Chelsea`s manager or Man Utd`s manager ....

But the fact is Grant is a boring man ....the only emotion i have seen from him this season was when Chelsea scored against Man Utd on saturday . How can the Chelsea fans support their manager when he displays such lack of emotion in matches and some bizarre responses to interviewers .

At the end of the day a manager is there to get result not to entertain with his antics, his are quite good.
And I do not think every manager would have had the same results as him.

A manager isn't obliged to entertain in interviews. His duty is on the field, not in the interview room.

To judge him on how dull he is isn't reason enough to discredit him as manager. It's pathetic.

As for him showing a lack of emotion. I can think of few managers who have looked more emotional than Grant when their team has scored in recent weeks. The guy looks like he's about to burst when Chelsea score, such is the emotion/relief at that point.

Cant tell. All hes done is let the players that Mourinho brought in do what they are good at.

We shall see what hes made of next season where his own signings will shine or not shine.

It takes more than just a squad of great players.

Just ask Rijkaard.

That's completely unfounded.

The guy has had to work in the more difficult of situations, but still has managed to catch up with Man U and reach the semi final of the CL.

If Fergie has had a good season, then Avram Grant has had a fantastic season.

So, contrary to the consensus around the Bridge, it would seem Grant does in fact know what he is doing.

For someone who can't win the big games, he's doing pretty well in them - he has beaten Arsenal, Man U and Liverpool.

Chelsea could be 3 games away from their MOST successful season ever. EVER! You'd never thinking if you wasn't aware of Chelsea's results, only the criticism fired at Grant, would you?!

If Chelsea do win the CL, it would be a huge slap in the face for Mourinho, Man U, Fergie, and the Chelsea fans.

He's closing up on the double, and I believe that he can easily beat Newcastle & Wigan in the EPL and United will probably draw or lose to West Ham (United have lost the last 3 matches between against West Ham) and he's already beaten United last week.

He's done in less than a season what Murinho couldn't do in 3, so give Grant credit! Also his press conference was pretty cool when he refused to answer the media.

Chelsea 3-0 Newcastle
Chelsea 3-1 WIgan
Chelsea 1-0 Manchester United

closing in on the double?
how do you make that one out?
If your talking about past games between Man United and West Ham, why dont you say anything about how Chelsea have done away to us in the past?
In their last 5 visits to st james park they have only scored 3 goals!! you didnt check this?
Im not sayin we are goin to beat them, but its only fair you take this into account

A deaf blind monkey could manage that squad to success

His back-up players are Makalele, Anelka, Alex, Bridge, Cudicini, Malouda etc, players that would walk into almost any other team in the league.

But the fact is, Mourinho never managed to get them to the CL final.

And in the league, Grant has done a better job this season than Mourinho did last season.

Does that make Mourinho a deaf blind monkey?

There was no suspicious penalty. It was a stonewall penalty. We all saw it hit Carrick on the hand, it's pathetic to go making up excuses for that defetat. Chelsea were much the better team, and deserved the win.

When was the last time Newcastle won against Chelsea? Chelsea will kill Newcastle, just watch Chelsea's matches against United, Liverpool. They are a whole different class than when they were under Murinho this season.

United fans stop making excuses for your losses, Avram is cool and he is better than Fergieson! (I know)

Have we taken Grant for granted?
