Regardless of "worthiness" this is just a fun award for who people think were good for the month... A "pat on the back" if you will from the members. There's no strict guidelines to vote and anyone can vote for anybody. Whether it's a vote out of spite, because you're chums, or because you genuinely think that person is worthy of the award doesn't matter. It's still a vote regardless of reason. So yeah.

Well congratulations Bluey for being the second ever winner of MOTM and PCMOTM. (after me )

I wouldn't get caught up on not winning this award - to get it you just have to waste away in the general section, talking to various pointless members until they'll vote for you. It’s kinda sad that the forum encourages that sort of crap, which inevitably descends into the football chat – ultimately shown by the fact that proper discussion on this site is at a real low (and perhaps indicative of why the likes of Steely, J-Axe and Johaldo, the best debaters, are showing their faces less and less).

Maybe those running this place have a different vision.

If you don't like it, don't come in here as it's only a bit of fun! I know f!ck all about football Big deal But what I do is actually go to the games (a real supporter not a wanna be pundit). I'm sure the forum needs it's REAL supporters here. Even if we can't say much about football I'm sure a bit of fun mixed with football is ok or do we all have to write ten boring paragraphs of crap in every post? yes your posts are ok now and again but what if we where all like you? calling each other names insulting people or whatever which in my book counteracts anything you do post what's good....

Woah steady on there Nancy. This award has nothing to do with 'the people running this place', we/I set it up in the mould YOU (the members) wanted and left all control of who won over to the members.

So whatever you say its the popular choice and its a monster created by all of you lot, maybe not you personally, but you as in the members.

So, if youd like to see the 'vision' of the people running this place and who we value as a member then look for our MOTM which I think you are the current holder of.

But any more badmouthing od us and that can change very quickly lol

It's like when you're in a shop and you see a mother buying their child something and doing her best to please. The child complains of wanting better or more even. You get that little urge to give him a slap for his mum and you also wish she wouldn't give him anything and just drag him out of the shop.

Aye, i think....lol.

I cant create a peoples choice award where we can influence peoples votes so they only vote on footballing posting merit or whatever, just wouldnt work. People will still vote for their friends on here or out of spite against someone else or whatever.

The Moderators award we discuss amongst ourselves each month, before the poll and voting is done, so anyone who has any issues with nominees or has dealt with them that everyone else might not know about can air their feelings etc.

However, this one could not work like that. Too many people with little rivalries and cliques that cloud the waters of rationality, and people could say they are voting on merit when they are not and who's to stop them?

The format for this is simple, and wont be changing soon unless anyone has a better (and workable) idea to find more worthy recipients in their eyes. (not saying anyone hasnt been worthy etc but some people seem to have isues with the results being produced)

I was thinking of the ones BEFORE me and I thought they were ok... strange eh?
