Well, there is, 'cause it's never going to happen (and that's excluding the numerous religious arguments...).
I'm just saying, Kuyt will be a pivotal player for us next season and there's little point in hoping he will leave, 'cause any hope will be in vain. |

Liverpool to win this one for me. After the week Manchester City have had i cant see them pulling it all together and getting a result. They loose to Fulham after being 2-0 up then its reported that thier Manager who has done very good in his first game is set to leave. I think their will be alot of uncertainty in the Machester City ranks and they wont be able to focus on the job in hand.
O yeh there is that other point that i dont think they are actually good enough to get a result. Unless Rafa puts out a weakend squad i can see Liverpool winning this 3-1, but if Rafa does make quite a few changes i think if City do pull it together they may be able to sneak a 1-1 draw but i doubt it. Liverpool 3-1 Manchester City |

Apparently Leto has had his passport issues resolved by the way. There was some investigation into those holding Italian passports but he's been cleared to play again, or so i'm told.

If i were to make a bet on the pair featuring, i'd suggest Insua will start (with Aurelio injured) whilst Plessis may make the substitutes bench. That's the most likely scenario i think. |

Liverpool Starting Line-up:
25 Reina 4 Hyypia 48 Insua 3 Finnan 23 Carragher 8 Gerrard 21 Leiva 20 Mascherano 19 Babel 18 Kuyt 9 Torres - Substitutes 30 Itandje 37 Skrtel 14 Alonso 11 Benayoun 10 Voronin Manchester City Starting Line-up: 25 Hart 16 Corluka 17 Jihai 3 Ball 22 Dunne 11 Elano 7 Ireland 6 Johnson 15 Petrov 12 Vassell 27 Mwaruwari - Substitutes 1 Isaksson 24 Garrido 21 Hamann 28 Fernandes 30 Castillo As i said about Insua starting - that's very good to see and hopefully he'll have a strong game. No place for Plessis, but i sort of anticipated that with the likes of Alonso, Lucas and Mascherano in front of him. Other than Finnan, Insua and Lucas coming in, plus i suppose the absense of Skrtel, it's the strongest side we could've put out. The really interesting thing is that there's no Crouch on the bench... being left out for Voronin could indicate his exit is looming. Now i just hope they "entertain" as Benitez has called on them to do. |

0-0 HT.
Liverpool were the ones that looked like scoring, but good defending from ManC. Fantastic save by Hart to deny Gerrard. Also Petrov was not off-side there IMO but he only hit the post, so no harm done... |

Another boring game (a bit more exciting than the earlier match), but what a save from Hart on that Gerrard effort. Soon as Gerrard kicked it, I said in my head, "GOAL!". But out of nowhere, Hart, fully extended taps the ball wide.

Liverpool picking up the pace. A couple of close chances from Gerrard and Torres. Torres running all over the City defense.
