Well, I'm certainly happy with that win. Song played well IMO and did some great defensive work. Good ball in from Traore for the Bendtner Goal...

But it was certainly a very boring game... Well time to watch the Liverpool game now...

Complete borefest. The game was played in slow motion. A few half chances here and there (from both sides) and nothing more. Then some great play and a little piece of magic from Traore and Bendtner.

Traore coming on was the changing point. Fabregas not playing hurt us in the middle quite a bit. Having two holding midfielders (Gilberto and Denilson) playing in the middle together just slowed the game down to a crawl and there was little linkup play to the strikers from/through them. Walcott was rather quiet in the first half, but the ball continued to go down the right with Toure and Eboue.

Gallas and Song had a solid game in the back. Clichy as well, especially when he was linking up with Traore. Song was great at breaking up the counter and breaking up passes in his half of the pitch. He's quite scrappy; seemed he was always diving and on the ground to breakup a pass (the things that Flamini does). But he's still got a lot of work to do as he did make a couple slight mistakes here and there. It was good to see Wenger sub in Lehmann for Fabianski as Lehmann is most likely on his way away from the Emirates. It was a nice curtain call for him, and to keep the clean sheet just makes it better.

Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb were all sitting in the stands I think, talking among themselves when the camera showed them... What is it with the Flamini situation now???

I went the toilet while they where playing even... I never do that watching Everton ever.


I noticed a lot of moaning from the pundits and on here about injuries!!! Get over it we all have our problems! Mainly us with smaller squads but you don't here us complaining. Our two best players are out but were not given a mention. I don't think Arsenal deserved all three points, in fact both teams should of not been given any points for that display.

Oh well, at least we still only need point or a villa loss will do even.

Flamini deadline has been extended to Monday. Wenger said it was due to negotiation issues (so still a slight chance of hope); but reports are that Milan has offered him around £5m a year, and as far as I know Arsenal have only offered around £2m.

I give our kids more pocket money a week than that...

Yeah just now saw that news on the Arsenal Website(After my post obviously)... I think he'll leave Arsenal to Milan... He's a replacement for Gattuso right???

Also Wenger said clearly that the wage system will not be changed due to the debt on the Emirates Stadium... So Flamini is on his way out me thinks(*sighs*)...

hoorah for the win, i can't stand Everton. didnt actually see the game because i had two christenings to attend..but im watching MOTD2 now and i saw the end bit on sky earlier. kinda glad i missed it by the looks of this thread mind and what Dylan and my Dad said!

gotta say...i felt a BIT sorry for Bender when i saw him getting his MOTM champagne. they always have another player there to hand it over...but alas Bender was all alone decent header from him for the goal though, fair play

i forgot to say...i was delighted that Jens came on..so lovely to see him having a wander and thanking the crowd at the end. but im curious as to where RVP was? every Arsenal player was there doing the lap at the end to thank the fans...but no Robin

Well, you should know that ... When Bendtner scored his goal and celebrated, Adebayor and Gallas went over and gave him a hug and a tap on the back.

As for RVP, he probably can't even walk as a precaution to his injury.

i'm starting to not hate him as much as i did..... he seemed alright in his interview afterwards.
