Rangers will listen to offers for defender Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan in January.

Frenchman Pierre-Fanfan, who arrived on a Bosman, has spent the majority of the campaign on the bench as Alex McLeish has preferred Sotirios Kyrgiakos, Marvin Andrews or Julien Rodriguez in central defence.

"As I said to Fanfan, some players may not fancy the situation of not being first or even second choice," said the manager.

"You just have to wait and see what unfolds. I don't know if he would like to move on, but I think he would like to play regular football."

Bit sad really, complete class on a good day, but played in different position's from day one, he nver really knew what the job was that Eck wanted him to do. One of the non-English speaking guys I think too, bet wherever he goes he will end up a big hit, probably back in French speaking place, like, erm France?

Ach Rangers waste the good players and play the crap ones. Maybe Hibs should offer a straight swap for Caldwell seeing as it looks like Caldwells also ready to leave.

Charlton, Portsmouth in for Rangers' Pierre-Fanfan

Charlton and Portsmouth have moved for Rangers defender Jose Pierre-Fanfan.

The Evening Times says Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth have made contact with the 31-year-old's agent and expressed a desire to sign him in the transfer window.

Turkish side Kayserispor and Valencia have also noted interest and Marseille were looking at a loan deal, but the player wants to move down south.

Rangers will not stand in Pierre-Fanfan's way and would be happy to free up his £15,000-a- week wages for investment elsewhere.

They will not ask for any transfer fee for a player they landed for a nominal sum.

Darn, no Boumsong type deal then, hehehe

Hmm Portsmouth seem keen on buying every SPL reject lol And Charlton always eem interested too, funny that.

The way he played for us I don't think the Premiership would make him look any better, but then again maybe a better Man Manager might do it!
