Roma captain Francesco Totti has revealed his intention to keep on playing for Roma until he is 37 or 38 years of age.

Giallorossi symbol Totti made his debut for the club as a 16-year-old way back in 1993.

Fifteen years later, he is still the focal point of the side and many believe that a Roma team without Totti is almost unthinkable.

This season the 31-year-old has again impressed, and is the club’s top scorer with 14 goals from just 25 Serie A appearances.

However his campaign has been disrupted by injuries, and he recently damaged his anterior cruciate ligament, which will keep him out of the game for around four-to-six-months.

Despite this injury, Totti believes that there is still much life left in him yet.

"After the way my knee rehab has gone, I think I can continue playing at high levels for a long time,” he stated.

"I hope to continue up to 37 or even 38 years of age."

Er Pupone is Roma’s record appearance-maker and also their all-time highest goal-scorer.

I for one doubt he can do it.

Would be nice to see him play on keep watching his great football, but I doubt he can make it.

If he picks up any more injuries than I think he will stop.

I don't know one thng that he got is the determination, Baggio despite all the serious injuries he went through kept until 38 (I don't remember well) Totti I think has the same mental strenght as the 'Divin Codino'. IMO Totti will retire soon only if he'll achieve something very important with Roma and he at the same time feels no more fit to play

Anyone can play till they are 38, but to play to that age with quality is a whole different matter. If he can pull it off, hats off to him as I love watching him play. Hopefully it happens, I wouldn't mind another 7 years of watching Totti play. Smile
