Not a fan of those type of stadiums either. Definitely too generic. Our stadium design is much more innovative.

I'd like to see stadiums like the Beijing one in this country. They look amazing and stand out, whereas most stadiums look the same and don't really stand out as something unique to the club.

The lack of creativity in this country is disappointing. Wembley did nothing to change that.

Tottenham Spurs won't rush stadium decision:

Quote:

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is refusing to rush the decision on relocating from White Hart Lane and an announcement is unlikely to be made next month as originally planned.

Levy has previously stated the preferred option would be to remain at the club's current home and increase the capacity but Spurs have also been approached with other possibilities.

The most recent suggestion reported a 50,000-capacity stadium adjacent to the current site, although Levy has stressed that the board are still assessing all of the avenues.

"I am determined that we shall work towards a successful outcome and a project of this nature and importance cannot be hurried," Levy said.

"On a point of clarity, we have taken no decision on whether or not to expand White Hart Lane and we continue to review and keep our options open."

Spurs did not want a June deadline to hamper any negotiations and the new possibilities mean the deliberations will take longer.

The value of the land in the Tottenham area is also a problem that has led to the decision taking longer than first expected.

"The difficulties with seeking a solution to our need for increased capacity are significant," Levy added.

"They include low residual land values within the Tottenham area which in turn makes enabling development less feasible, along with a limited number of suitable alternative sites within London, all of which require land assembly."

White Hart Lane holds just over 36,000 and increasing attendances is part of Levy's vision for the club, as well as making the jump from UEFA Cup football to the Champions League.

Spurs are in Europe's second-tier competition next season and there are expected to be changes in the squad this summer in preparation for the first full season of head coach Juande Ramos.

Younes Kaboul has hardly featured under Ramos and publicly criticised his boss last week, while Pascal Chimbonda has not been included in recent squads.

Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar, who sporting director Damien Comolli would have seen while scouting Alan Hutton, has been recently reported as a possible target.

Meanwhile, former Spurs boss Martin Jol, Ramos' predecessor, has been strongly tipped to return to management with German club Hamburg.

Spurs bid for Ferdinand:
Quote:

Tottenham have tabled a bid to take Anton Ferdinand to White Hart Lane.

Last summer, Spurs made an approach under former boss, Martin Jol, but the Hammers rejected the US$8 million offer and said that the defender was not for sale.

This time round, Juande Ramos is determined to get his man and has put in a higher bid of US$12 million to tempt their London neighbours into selling their prized possession.

Ramos has already started rebuilding for next season with talented Croatian midfielder, Luka Modric already signed up and now he wants to concentrate on shoring up his leaky defence.

Younes Kaboul who was touted as the next big thing has been a flop in his first season and Michael Dawson is said to be on his way out. This leaves Ramos with only Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King as his only options.

With King’s well documented injury status hanging over him, Ferdinand will be a good backup for the London club.

The 23-year-old has long been expected to follow in his brother Rio Ferdinand’s footsteps and has shown in the past two seasons how similar he is to his sibling.

Anton is said to be keen on the move as he is struggling to get into the West Ham lineup with the emergence of 19-year-old James Tomkins.

If the Hammers refuse the offer, Ramos might turn his attention to another Hammers’ defender, Mathew Upson.

Laughing Laughing

i love these reports. absolutely no knowledge of what they are saying.

how is he 'Ramos' man'? im sure Ramos would have watched him cost us two goals against the yids with atrocious marking form the headers.

prized possession? Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Ferdinand would not want to be back up. he is in our first team as it is.

anybody who has watched both of them grow as footballers can see the huge gaps between the two

errr he is injured, and has been for a while. he is almost back to fitness and is expected to play against Villa at the weekend

right, so if we refuse an offer for Ferdinand we are then going to accept an offer for a player we have only just bought who is a much better defender than ferdinand and is potential captain material? yeah good one.

in short, even if this story has any legs, which i highly doubt, the standrad of journalism is f*cking atrocious. where is this c&p'd from?

i wouldnt shed a tear if they did sell ferdinand but i would be very suprised if this ever happens for two reasons...

1. curbishley seems to like ferdinand
2. why the hell would Spurs want ferdinand? there is much better about

Number 2. there Steely is what im thinking aswell.

If Jol was sill in charge I could see this being just the kind of unimaginative signing we'd get but surely Ramos knows someone better and cheaper back on the continent.

If i owned a house id wager it on this not happening.

I thought you meant Real Madrid's Diarra then Yobbo...

Either would be a very good signing though.

Good to see hes going overseas, would be mightily [beep!] off with everyone on our end if they sold him domestically.

Now lets spend that money on some more class in midfield and keeper and central defence please!

Simply stating the facts. You were the one complaining when you thought we were going to sign Capel anyway so hush your chops.

Rumour is Barcelona will swap Eto'o for Berbatov.

Awesome deal if it goes through as Eto'o is a lot better than Berbatov.

Gotta wonder about Etoos ego in the dressing room tho, still if theres someone who can keep it in check I think Ramos can.

I'd rather have Berbatov than Eto'o. Better all round game, doesn't rely as heavily on the players around him, and isn't injury prone.
