although it releases the bile in my stomach Chelsea are not as deserving as Man Utd for the title over the course of the season united have been consistently the more impressive team

with the comments by Sir Alex over Bolton players having a night out before the Chelsea game , is the pressure getting to him just a little . He is intelligent enough to know all Man Utd need to do is win .....1-0 will do , it would require Chelsea to beat Bolton 18-0 for them to nick the title on goal difference .

Surely all this moaning will only increase the pressure ....

does that old man ever stop moaning. So what if the Bolton players went out at the start of the week, what difference does it really make. They have stayed up, they dont need the points and they were never gonna play 100% anyways.
Both Man United and Chelsea will win their matches. Part of me would like to see SAF's face if Man United lost title but Man United have been best team this season. Should be a great final day!

well Steve Bruce says his players will give 100% against Man Utd .....thats good but Man Utd only have to play at 80% to beat most teams ....unless they have a Man City performance the title will be heading for Old Trafford again .

Don't remind me conner Sad

City STOLE 6 points off us this season, we should already be out of sight as far as the title is concerned. Then to rub salt into the wound they capitulate 6-0 to Chelsea.

you should be thankful though for the points you have rescued this season ....the one against Tottenham for example ....without that Chelsea would be favourites right now .. Wink

Aston Villa, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Birmingham, Spurs, Arsenal, Blackburn, Reading, Man United, Man City, Wigan, Middlesbrough and West Ham stole 38 points off of us this season. We should've been crowned "Champions" in March.

So you'll agree to give all the points you've received this season, that you didn't get last season, back?

Wigan have players that can ,at there best give Man U some big problems, notably Hesky, valencia and palacios. The defense isn't that bad if they concentrate from the get go and the much maligned Bramble isn't as bad as people say when he's on form.Quite honestly on paper i can see wigan getting a draw ,but i really don't think Steve bruce will want to take the title away from Man U.

I see that SAF has been having a dig at the Bolton players this morning for going out on the razz this week to celebrate the fact that they have retained Premiership status, whereas Wigan are remaining focussed on the important game this week-end against United. I must admit it does seem to be a tad unprofessional of Bolton to be celebrating before the season is over. No doubt Steely will be amused by SAF's comments.

what a pathetic man. this is why i mentioned my dislike for him before.

so what if they had a celebration? they are entitled to celebrate. does he think they should pretend not to be safe for his sake? did he have a go at Portsmouth for celebrating making the cup final? its none of his business what other clubs do. does he think the players will suffer from a 7 day hangover?

he is searching for excuses already and some of his comments over the last month or so are pathetic. i notice he didnt chirp up after curbishleys unprofessional comments in support of his boys. there was no conspiracy against him then.

Bolton will be just as focused as Wigan. to suggest otherwise is a joke. besides which the Chelsea Bolton game is pretty irrelevant considering the ball is in his court. he should be more concerned with his own team and not worry about goings on elsewhere.

i pray he loses the title. he has an uncanny knack of annoying me with pathetic comments like this. does he think saying things like that will inspire Bolton? if anything they will more likely think "f*ck him" and try that little bit less.

I believe he was trying to make a point to the press who were questioning Steve Bruce and Wigans integrity about trying to win their game, in contrast to the press completely ignoring the fact that MAYBE the Bolton players weren't quite as focussed on the game with Chelsea as they should be.

so instead of concentrating on his own game and his own opponents he questions the integrity of another team playing his rivals?

look at the contrasting views of both managers. Grant is respectful, polite and dignified. Ferguson is just plain bitchy. how does he know they have been 'out celebrating all week'? what a ridiculous statement to make.

the only point he has made is that he is clearly feeling the pressure whereas Grant is calm relaxed and reflective.

everyone has their own way to express the pressure they're feeling and that might make some individuals look or sound bad to others.. grant might just have a different way to deal with the pressure..

Apparently Antoine Sibierski's rather miffed....

Quote:
Wigan striker Antoine Sibierski claims his team-mates are 'being taken for idiots' by those who suggest they will hand the title to Manchester United on Sunday.

United will secure a 10th Premier League crown - and a 17th league championship - if they beat Wigan at the JJB Stadium as their goal difference is vastly superior to that of Chelsea, who play Bolton.

Speculation has been rife that Wigan, who secured top-flight safety last weekend, might not give 100 per cent, especially as they are managed by Old Trafford legend Steve Bruce.

But Sibierski - a former Manchester City and Newcastle player - is shocked that the players' integrity has been called into question.

"It's difficult for me to understand," Sibierski told L'Equipe. "How can people think that the Wigan players will take their foot off the gas?

"We want to go at Manchester United because they are one of the best European teams at the moment.

"We want to show that we didn't escape the drop by chance, that we are capable of getting a result against this type of team."

Sibierski slammed those who have hinted that Wigan might not give it their all.

"It makes us smile a bit," added Sibierski. "But we also have the impression that we are being taken for idiots.

"Especially when I hear (Chelsea midfielder) Michael Ballack say 'I hope the Wigan players won't be on holiday already'.

"We are professionals. It's a game that will be followed throughout the world. It's important not to be ridiculed.

"We're playing against some of the best players in Europe. It's the kind of match that everyone in the world wants to play in and certain players have the desire to show what they are capable of.

"It's true that the pressure that Fulham, Reading and Birmingham still have has gone for us.

"We are safe so we are free.

"But generally, it's at that point that you begin to play your best games."

Let's face it fergy is the master of the psychological gamesmanship. He always uses the media to create a certain impression before big matches and a lot of the time it works. He's just being a manager.I forgot to mention sibierski,he's quite dangerous in the air,and scharner has looked pretty solid this season. That's why Sir Alex is a little worried, because he knows that there is a slight possibility that the game could be very close.Imagine if wigan just played bunker defense and just flooded their defense with players. If this was the last game United had to play this season i would say that there is no way united could loose this game, but that is not the case as we all know.

Wigan vs Manchester United & Chelsea vs Bolton Wanderers
