Slaven Bilic signs a new contract with Croatia taking him and the team upto 2010 World Cup.
Final cut to be made on 28th of this month, but here it is: Keepers: Stipe Pletikosa (Spartak Moscow), Vedran Runje (RC Lens), Mario Galinovic (Panathinaikos) Defenders: Vedran Corluka (Manchester City), Dario Simic (AC Milan), Robert Kovac (Borussia Dortmund), Josip Simunic (Hertha Berlin), Dario Knezevic (Livorno), Hrvoje Vejic (Tom Tomsk) Midfielders: Danijel Pranjic (Heerenveen), Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk), Niko Kovac (Salzburg), Luka Modric (Tottenham), Niko Kranjcar (Portsmouth), Jerko Leko (Monaco), Ivan Rakitic (Schalke 04), Ognjen Vukojevic (Dinamo Zagreb), Nikola Pokrivac (Monaco) Strikers: Mladen Petric (Borussia Dortmund), Ivica Olic (Hamburg SV), Ivan Klasnic (Werder Bremen), Igor Budan (Parma), Nikola Kalinic (Hajduk Split) 6 Defenders. 5 Strikers, 3 Keepers and 9 Midfielders makes a squad of 23. |

Very young team with a nice blend of experience. Not much pressure on them, which is great as they will get much better by time of the World Cup in 2010.
Mario Galinovic, Hrvoje Vejic, Nikola Pokrivac, and Nikola Kalinic are the only ones Ive never really heard of. But they must be good as they will be playing for Croatia. Ognjen Vukojevic and Nikola Kalinic the only Croatian based players. Should go far! |

So sad to see Eduardo's name missing from that list.
Also Rosický will miss out on the Euros. Such a shame. |
