Howsit! I'm a 22 year old South African football fanatic residing in Cape Town. I'm an advertising (copywriting) student by day and a music producer by night. I love writing and cars and anime and football manager and just being cool so let's be cool. Very Happy

With regards to supporter status, I'm an avid Gooner but you'll find me to be very open minded with regards to other clubs and their supporters - even Mancs n Spurs. In addition to football I also enjoy F1 and like any South African, I enjoy rugby.

South Africa aren't planned to hold any World Cups after 2010 so I really doubt you'll be going there mate Wink Your getting a bit ahead of yourself!

Not really. We either qualify through Asia and go directly or come 5th in Asia and play New Zealand or whoever wins Oceania qualifying over two legs for a place in the World Cup. Either way we're in Smile

I can vouch for this, all the South African girls I knew in New Zealand were hot, and loved it.

Not so much pickpocketing as gunpoint mugging (I've been pickpocketed by gypsy in Rome so it's not like it's an African problem) - the scum of this nation are quite in-your-face when it comes to their misdeeds. You'll have nothing to fear if you stick to the suburbs and the cities and stay away from Joeburg or Port Elizabeth (PE's extremely friendly though). Cape Town is alot like London; it's very cosmopolitan and very accessible for tourists. As for the women who'll be looking to "make business", don't ever pick up one off the streets as there is a good chance that they have HIV.

Be smart about your visit. Westernised and up-to-date we might be but it's still Africa.
