why is he a money grabbing mercenary?
I could be wrong, but i dont remember Sven trying to hold the F.A or Man City to ransom over his wages. I dont remember him demanding the large sums of money the F.A stupidly offered him. Of course, at the time they wanted a big named manager so had large pot of money to tempt the likes into the job. Surely he was just benefiting from idiotic people with too much money at their disposal? Doubt anyone would say no to £5 million a year for hardly any work and to shag around. But like i said, i cant remember fully so maybe im wrong. I think it would be a mistake if they were to get rid of him. The only way i feel they could justify it is to get a world class manager to replace him, like Mourinho, but that just wont happen. The football has improved under Sven. A double against United is rare, he managed it. He has got them the most points and their highest position in the league for i dont know how long. I just think this is another example of someone with too much money, who knows little about the game trying to throw their wait around and wanting instant results. maybe Sven is paying the price for the start they had to the season |

you dont remember him meeting up secretly with Abramovich or the 'Fake Sheikh' meeting about taking over Aston Villa? those two incidents directly led to the huge contract extension he was given to 'tie him to the job'. in those meetings he displayed his true colours.
even curbishley managed a 'treble' over Man United. sven is also only one place above West Ham which is not very impressive given the money he has spent (and wasted) |

No other coach of Sven's stature is going to go to Man City so they should be happy they have him.

Were City players 'protesting' or what?

Yeah they said that on setanta, but how is getting thrashed 7-1 by a mediorce team protesting... :S

It was 8-1

It's a good job this result didn't have implications for other teams affected by goal difference. City players should be ashamed of themselves. Totally unprofessional performance.
