I saw leeds for the fourth time this season and saw their first win. I must admit they are a friendly little club with one of (in my view) female footballs nicest players in sue smith

I agree there - Sue is one of the nicest people I've met - not just in footie either.

She is a really lovely person. Smile

She's much nicer than Leeds men like Jack Charlton used to be Very Happy

I can't imagine her using two hands to thump the goalkeeper in the stomach as they go up for a corner as he used to do (and get away with - who says refs are worse these days Laughing)

Leeds ladies are in the local paper tonight a nice feature on them ironic the day the mens team don't win their appeal (I've no time for mr bates after the lack of support shown to the womens team)

Sue said in her column she has been in nottingham with faye white signing autographs and smiling and some kids were waving to her and she waved back and they gave her the V sign I assume this was just sue

to Leeds Ladies who held out fpor so long before falling under the sheer power, poise and pace of the Arsenal Ladies in the Cup Final. But for their keeper Telford, it would have been all over by half-time......and so the Arsenal girls march on and are wortht double winners again and again...... Laughing

The Leeds Utd Ladies have been forced to change their name to Leeds Carnegie Ladies FC after Leeds United cut off funding to the women's team.

They were also threatened with legal action if they did not stop using the word 'United' in their name. This action has now been dropped.

Typical behaviour from a men's team. The women's team is doing a lot better than their male counterparts and get abandoned and money is withdrawn from them. I hope the girls can go on and prove it was a bad decision by the men's side to do this.

it is a bit petty saying to stop using `United` ...but that is business for you ...dont get nothing for free in this world .

I think just `Leeds Ladies` would have been fine ...short and simple .
