Contraversial??

A scouse supporter said to me that he preferred to get knocked out by Chlesea in the SF than face the possibility of losing to Utd in the Final.

If Utd were to lose to Chelsea in the Final would it really hurt or would it be just be disappointing for fans? As far as the scousers are behind Utd in the league the possibility of a defeat in a CL final to them would've been unbearable but with Chelsea would it be as bad? As a Utd fan would you feel the need to shed any tears? I know for a fact I'd need 6 months of work if we lost to the scousers which is why it was good they got knocked out at SF final stage although it is a dreadful shame that they have to endure another trophyless season.

That said Utd have the momentum and should beat Chelsea 3-1 anyway no matter if Drogba and Terry are fit.

Once they saw United were through against Barca they knew they were on a losing ticket........obvious from the capitulation to Chelsea. By the way ragap, stop being so negative, a mate of mine got asked that very same question and his answer was.......I'm not going to even consider that.....losing is losing no matter who it's to......and I just want to beat them both and THAT is all I think about.

I like you believe Utd are a better side than Chelsea, we coped fairly well with them at Stamford Bridge until the Refs intervention and think we will win this final but if things don't go according to plan I won't be too perturbed if we lose as much as I would be were it a loss to the scousers.

I still think this is the biggest rivalry. It was more than pleasing to take another 6 points of them this season and see them end the season empty handed. Not wanting to be spiteful at all.
