Well, i don't see why they'd struggle to get ahead of AC Milan. They've been pathetic over the last two seasons, and it seems Ancellotti will stick around to continue that.

I still think they have enough to ward off Juve though, even though they really have been poor.

But i reckon if they sign any of them it will only be one of them, maybe vicente or baraja. Silva and joaquin will either stay in spain or join an english club if you ask me.

They should sign the young guy Hamsik from Napoli, and maybe Lavezzi too. And if they can rodrigo palacios from Boca wouldnt be a wasted buy.

But even with players like this i still think they will struggle to get ahead of Inter and AC Milan, at least for next season.

in 99% percent of the seasons Juve are always in front of Milan, even the first season back from Serie B so we will definitely be ahead of them if they don't get a new manager.

Juve have managed 3rd place and that's close to 1st place, if we didn't concede stupid goals (like the one where Sissoko bicycle kicked a player in the shoulder in our penalty are) then we'd be at least 2nd. We just need better defense and another good partner for Sissoko (who is really brilliant, no one can argue that).

Anyways it looks like Sagnol is going to try his luck under new coach Kilnsmann so he won't be moving anywhere - but you never know

It's funny. Weren't many Juve fans calling for Raniera to not buy Sissoko in January?

I'm not sure but I've always wanted him to come to Turin. He's already won the La Liga and from the games I saw (Valencia and first season in Liverpool) he dominated most of the midfielders and won so many balls. I never said no Sissoko but the media expected him to fail miserably because of his form with Liverpool

Makes me want Amauri a little bit less:

Amauri To Milan: Juve If You Finish Fifth

Palermo forward Amauri has indicated that he will chose to sign for Juventus at the end of the season.

Speaking on the subject of a transfer saga that has now raged on for the best part of a month, Amauri admitted that Champions League football would be critical when he chose the side to join at the end of the campaign.

With Juventus and AC Milan the current front-runners for the players’ signature, the speculation should continue right up until pen has been put to paper with one of the sides.

“The Champions League is a crucial factor in my choice,” declared Amauri on Tgs Studio Sport, leaving no doubt.“I repeat that everything will be sorted out after the game against Siena.

“I will discuss things with my agent and we will see what concrete solutions there really are.

"Milan are interested? Even if they don’t qualify for the Champions League, they are a great team.

“However, I think that it would be an important loss for Italian football if they were to fail to qualify because they have picked up great results in Europe.”

The Brazilian then went on to discuss how Palermo have fared this year, with his side currently set for a top ten finish, should Siena be defeated on the final day, although more was hoped for at the beginning of the campaign.

“Given the potential of this squad, we started the season aiming to finish fourth,” he explained.“The season has been cursed and everything became more difficult. In any case, under Stefano Colantuono and Francesco Guidolin this unit has given a good response.”

What an arse, he should either say who he wants to join or say nothing, this is just going to annoy both sets of supporters.

Agreed. The move doesn't look that possible though (to Juve) because Palermo want Giovinco and other 2 youngters + cash - this is blaspheme, this is madness!

You are right mate...

Bayern Munich: Sagnol set to stay

Quote:

Bayern Munich defender Willy Sagnol is to see out the remainder of his contract with the Bundesliga champions, according to chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The France international, whose deal expires in 2010, has been unsettled this season and recently criticised coach Ottmar Hitzfeld for playing him out of position.

But, after speaking with future coach Jurgen Klinsmann, who met all of the Bayern players during a visit to Munich last week, Sagnol is now seemingly convinced of his future with the club.

"Willy had a chat with Jurgen and he wants to use this chance to stay with Bayern," Rummenigge told the city's Tz newspaper.

"However, it will be absolutely necessary that Willy works really hard on himself next year and Jurgen has made that clear to him."

Sagnol asked for a transfer in December when he failed to make an immediate return to the first team after a lengthy injury absence.

After finally getting some games under his belt, he withdrew the request only to see another injury set him back again in February.

His return last month was equally slow, but the 31-year-old is back in the Bayern first team and appears to be settled again in Bavaria, despite reported interest from Italian clubs Juventus and AC Milan.

Looks like the Amauri deal is back on:

Gigli To Milan: Amauri Is Ours

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli is confident that Juventus will finally reach an agreement with Palermo over Amauri, meaning that the Brazilian won't be going to AC Milan...

The Old Lady has been after the Rosanero forward for over a season, but so far the clubs have been unable to reach an agreement which would take the Brazilian to Turin.

Gigli is a little frustrated that talks have not gone to plan so far, but he is adamant that the northern side will indeed land their primary tansfer target.

Milan, Real Madrid and even West Ham have been rumoured to be in the race for the attacker, but the Juve chief is confident Amauri will sign for the Bianconeri.

"I am convinced that we can reach an agreement with Palermo soon," Gigli told Calciomercato.

"At the moment there is not a yes or a no regarding the deal.

"As always other clubs always come in to challenge, West Ham? I don't think so but I know there are other clubs who are interested in him.

"We will be meeting Palermo again soon to try and conclude the affair."

He continued, "I'm not bothered as to who is after him, Milan, Real Madrid, West Ham, I strongly believe that we can sign him.
"I think it all depends on both clubs reaching an agreement over anything else and we will try and achieve this.

"I am positive and sure that the operation for Amauri will end with a good result for us, but if it doesn't then we are already looking at other alternatives."

Juventus would need to bolster their squad in light of their Champions League and Serie A ambitions next season. The Bianconeri will be challenging for major homours and a boosted pool is needed if they are to fight on two fronts.

Another year in black and white for Pavel Nedved

Another year in black and white for Pavel Nedved

Juventus will still be able to rely on Pavel Nedved for its return in Europe. The Czech midfield player has extended his contract with Juventus for another year. The agreement – valid until 30th June 2009 – was signed this afternoon in Vinovo where the player met Juventus Managing Director Jean-Claude Blanc after practice.
« The extension to Nedved’s contract – said Blanc – is the best way to start our campaign to strengthen the team before the next season. Pavel has written pivotal pages in the history of Juventus and will continue to provide the team with character and quality. His experience, class and determination are a certainty for his team mates, manager and supporters ».
After practice Pavel Nedved said he was proud to wear the Juventus shirt for another year: «Behind my decision is the awareness of having lived seven extraordinary years and the desire to once again live the European experience with I team I feel trongly connected to. I wish to thank our supporters for the warmth they greeted me with, my team mates for the esteem they expressed for me in the last few days and the club which has chosen to continue to entrust me with an important role ».
Pavel Nedved was born on 30th August 1972 and has been playing for Juventus since the 2001-2002 season. In the past seven years he has played 282 games, between League and Cup games, national and international, scoring 58 goals.

Eto'o heading for Juve? Surprised

Eto'o For Trezeguet Could Kickstart Barça Deals

Samuel Eto'o could be the surprise departure from Barcelona this summer with a swap deal now being mooted with Juventus that would see David Trezeguet heading in the opposite direction.

The latest twist to the Cameroonian striker's future comes a day after it was revealed that he was so infuriated by being jeered by fans at the weekend that he wants to leave Camp Nou.

Tottenham are said to be involved in preliminary talks with Barça and his agent while Inter are monitoring the situation, so Juve's involvement is a new element to saga.

While various high profile names, such as Ronaldinho and Deco, were always on the way out at the end of the season, it was believed that Eto'o would stay at least another season.

Pep Guardiola takes the reins from Frank Rijkaard later in the summer and he is already working on a provisional list of playes that he wants to keep.

A number of names have already been discussed but there could be the odd surprise like Santiago Ezquerro being asked to stay because the new trainer is a fan.

Having barely featured for the Blaugrana since his move from Athletic Bilbao in 2005, Guardiola views the forward as a very useful player to use as a substitute.

Other names that will go for sure are Eidur Gudjohnsen, despite his desire to stay, and Giovani Dos Santos, who could be sent out on loan after requesting a move to gain more first team experience.

Lilian Thuram has been looking for a new club for several weeks after being told that his contract would not be renewed and Edmílson is set to leave with Villarreal his likely destination.[/img]

I dunno about Eto'o as he's a heavy favourite for Spurs, but it can happen. Who knows.

As for Thuram, I saw this article where he says, he won't be at Barca but he's also thinking of retiring too...

Quote:

He will feature for France at next month's European Championships in Austria and Switzerland but he admits he could retire after that if no decent offers come his way.

"I have said my desire to play football was still there - now it must be seen in which conditions," he said.

"One day, I want to continue my playing career; the next, it is the opposite.

"In all honesty, I still haven't taken a decision about my future. Everything depends on the opportunities I am given."

Thuram doubts he will be at Barca next season, adding: "If that was the case, my (Barca's) directors would have already offered me something."

Many clubs want him, few dare to ask. But he's 36 years old now so he should retire soon.

Palermo: Amauri sees future in Italy

Quote:

Palermo forward Carvalho Amauri insists his future is in Italy despite his agent confirming the player is a target of major European clubs.

"That Real Madrid could be interested in me makes me proud," said Amauri."But I see my future more in Italy than abroad.

"To join a top team in Italy would be fantastic. I want to experience what it is to win the scudetto, to fight to achieve that and the Champions League. That is what I would like to experience."

I think he may go to either Juventus or Inter...

Guess Lahm won't be playing for Juve next season as he reportedly signed a 3-year extension with the Bavarians after Klinsmann convinced him to stay.
