Chelsea didn't exceed my expectations. I expected them to challenge for all trophies to the same degree as they have in the most recent seasons.

Even when Mourinho went I knew they'd get going again. There's too much strength & quality in depth at the Club to falter. With the amount they spend and what they have at their disposal they should be challenging for all trophies.

Before the season they were my favourites to win it. Man Utd just came good again and improved some areas yet again. Chelsea had a rocky patch and some bad things going on behind the scenes which didn't help them.

yeah thats a good point BMJ.

Avram Grant has shown the rest of the 'top bosses' how to behave with respect, dignity and class.

even if he never manages Chelsea again i feel that he has made his mark. just because he is no media whore he gets vilified by the media time and time again and even by his own fans and yet he gets on with his job in a manner that a certain few others could learn a lot from.

i wish him every success in whatever his next move happens to be.

Absolute nonsense. He has been moaning like the rest of the managers ALL do. See the European Champions League thread for proof Laughing

he is not moaning, everything he says there is quite valid.

scholes should have been sent off, wigan could have had a penalty, referees do get influenced/intimidated into decisions.

Yeah I heard about this; it's perfect timing given the topic of discussion! He's a bad loser. He said fcuk all when Chelsea got their offside equaliser against Arsenal. He wasn't complaining then.

I also recall him saying that he prefers the Italian play off system when the top teams are locked on points, rather than goal difference. How coincidental! The team who scores the most goals should be rewarded so he should could his toad-like mouth shut! If his team didn't sit back so often and went out to score more goals like United do, then there wouldn't be a problem.

Hopefully Fergie along with the whole Utd camp ignore Mr Grant's latest rant about the title race and treat him with complete indifference and concentrate on beating his team in Moscow.

I suppose he is trying to a Jose and spark controversy to enhance his profile.

Grant is gonna win it, then Fergie will burn in his light. Chelsea are far better than Man U.

The EPL final positions proves your statement to be incorrect Laughing

That is unless you are going to use 'Steely' logic on me.....and tell me that you can't count the results in the table because Man Utd have an unfair advantage over everyone else. They have SAF leading them Very Happy
