Both Clichy and Sagna should be in that squad. If Boumsong can get in why cant Sagna and Clichy. If Sagna is fit he should be in, but maybe he doesnt think he will be fully fit in time.

Clichy I would sort of agree with - Evra and Abidal are strong Defenders and much more experienced. I don't mind Clichy being left out this time, he'll be included in the future. But Sagna has been immense and he's proven his ability at all levels. Sagnol is weaker.


Evra is very good.

I know. I said he was very strong, hence I don't mind Clichy being left out.

But Evra is not a RB and even at that Sagna is stronger than any Frenchman there. So it's disappointing to see him denied a spot in the squad.

I think viera is stronger than evra.

He is still recovering from injury.
Sagnol is first choice for at least a few months.

i think the french are too scared to drop as well

Abidal has had a poor, poor season.. often is target to other teams as a weakpoint

cliche has had a fab season.. better then evra

and relli.. its a matter of how many seconds saha is not injured!!

That's a joke that Flamini hasn't been included. I'd suggest he's been their best defensive midfielder this season. Much better than Makelele of current form, too Vieira, and too the unproven Diarra. Not seen enough of Toulalan to judge mind.
