Some info:

Etoo deal is dead in water as we cant find a commercial backer to pay up to half his wages, and we aint paying them all ourselves.

Attentions have been turned to Milito, who is a very good possibility of signing.

Thank God. You were starting to assemble a fearsome (partly hypothetical) line-up, what with Modric, Capel, Diarra and Eto'o.

It'd be interesting to see how Milito will fare in the Premier League after he was rumoured to be our back-up if Torres didn't sign. See what might have been and all that…

Interview with Adriano from a Brazilian newspaper, looks promising!! This guy and Bale on the left would be devastating IMO.

Adriano says he may leave to play at Sevilla Tottenham

The left-side Brazilian Adriano, Sevilla, said this Wednesday that could leave the team to play at Tottenham, England.

The player would be an indication of the technical Spanish Juande Ramos, who currently commands the English team but already sent Adriano in Seville.

"I am happy with that interest, because it is a sign that I did a good job when Juande Ramos was in Seville. I am in Spain for many years, I have an enormous affection for Sevilla and by their fans, but if this goes ahead I think interest with calmly what to do. The English football today is one of the largest in terms of visibility in the world and Tottenham are among the major European teams, "he explained.

"Although I think a return to Brazilian team and have to decide the best way to reach this goal," said the player, which has contract with the Spanish club until 2011.

Brace yourselves for what could possibly be the most bullshite Spurs rumour ever...

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is switching his attentions from Samuel Eto'o to Barcelona teammate Thierry Henry, according to a local Spanish cabbie!

Onda Cero's 'Ona esportiva' reported yesterday claims from a taxi driver, known as 'Miguel', who took Ramos around Barcelona that he was discussing his transfer plans on his mobile phone during the journey.

During the trip, Ramos held two conversations via his mobile phone.

In the first, he said loudly: "Eto'o, impossible. Now we will go for Henry."

In the second, he expressed his intention to sign a central defender and a left winger, and noted the names of Dani Jarque, the Espanyol defender, and Valencia midfielder David Silva.

I have really seen him at Valencia but i watched him all the time at Betis. He is very much like Ronaldo is some ways but his pace is his best feature. Great player to sign in football manager lol.

According to L'equipe Gregory Coupet has told supporters after training today that he is leaving Lyon for Spurs, quite a step down from 7 time champions and regular CL team to UEFA Cup regular team.

Well he is getting on a bit maybe he just wants to have a go of keeping goal in the premier league, and hes not good enough for a top 4 team so Spurs would be a perfect choice.

Coupet would be a great signing, hes getting on a bit, 34 i heard but so was VDS when he signed for United and we all know where thats ended now.

Id rather sign someone whos ready to take the spot and perform right now than someone younger with the potential to be good. Also is a cheaper option too.

2.5million apparently.

Absolutely fantastic if true, get someone like Hart in to be his understudy and we are set for 3-5 years IMO.

Coupet will be a great signing. Looks like it will happen. Regards to a understudy can't really see Hart being a undersyudy. I have also heard that ramos has been looking at robert green.

“Olympique Lyonnais deny having received any demand from English club Tottenham for a transfer for Gregory Coupet,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“Besides, the club remind that in a general way, no discussions regarding eventual transfers will be hold before the Coupe de France final on Saturday at Stade de France on which the club is focused.”

Coupet has always claimed he wants to play in an English-speaking country before ending his glorious career, and the 35-year-old, who has just won a seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title, is tipped to be replaced at OL by the promising Hugo Lloris from Nice.

For his part, Coupet, under contract until 2010, told reporters after training that: “It is the president who will express himself about this file after the final.”

''The information from L'equipe about a reciprocal interest between coupet and totenham seem to have been confirmed in the afternoon at the OL training ground. The international goalie, who has still not officially asked to leave the club he arrived in 97, made two regulars women supporter cry a his arrival a tola-vologe. The reason of their emotion : he personally told them his imminent departure to London

Contacted by l'equipe on wednesday the OL direction denied having established a contact with Spurs.
A very discreet player, Coupet just confirmed the hypothsesis that he would be leaving
the club should not form an obstacle to his departure etc...
