Bayern Manager Uli Hoeneß has now told the German magazine "kicker" that Manchester United might be Lahm's new club. However, Hoeneß believes that he won't leave after this season.

I am happy too. It's good to see Bayern keep their better players, and for German stars to remain in Germany. Would've hated to see him at United also.

I'd love Phillip Lahm at Liverpool, first time i was him was the 2006 World Cup and i think he scored a cracker in Germanys first game.
We've had two decent Germans before with Dietmar Hamann and Markus Babbel so i don't see why this lad would be any different to them in terms of success and medals if he did come to Anfield. |

Well it's a bit late, he's signed a new contract with Bayern.
