Just got another txt to say that Arsenal won the match but Kelly picked up an injury. Sad
Cath was not sure if it ended 3 or 4-1 to Arsenal.

update: got another txt to say that Kelly was limping but it might not be that bad. It was a good match but Cath was freezing cold.

That doesn't sound good, but I remember Fleets having an ice pack strapped to her knee
during the last Ladies' game I've been to,
and she came back in the second half jumping,
so I'm hoping Kelly's injury is not serious either Smile

Just heard from Ambro that Kel was suffering with a dead leg and that is why she came off after about an hour. Kel said that 'she could not run it off and was well sore'.
btw Yankey scored a great goal today.

Unlucky Cardiff. Looks like they did better against Arsenal than alot of other teams though so that is promising.

Just shut it you lol
Nice to have you back Westberg and Smithy. You havent been around over xmas.

Arsenal mens were holding on yesterday Twmcat, and you know it!!
Ladies team are on the top of their game at the moment, and seem to be the best around. Everton ladies are also playing good footy.

I would say that Charlton are the team putting Arsenal ladies under the most pressure but Everton have played much better this season compared to last year.

Now re the game yesterday it was not as hard as I expected but that was possibly due to the early goals that Pires scored. Was nice to watch Arsenal play a Welsh team though.

1-4 LOVE IT!!

i hate cardiff, esp one of their players in particular, so it was great to kick their asses out of the fa cup!! Twisted Evil

there were LOADS of cardiff fans, i had lots of shouting matches with the rest of the crowd, seeing who could shout the loudest!! love it!

i wasnt too happy with the stadium. it was an athletics stadium so the stand was really high up in the air and there was the running track between the pitch and the stand so we were really far away from the players. gutted.

anyway, the kelly smith banner, jayne ludlow banner and Arsenal flag were taped up on the railings...... but unfortunately the inflatable talking referee slowly died as the day went on. methinks it got punched and kicked too many times by me and various members of my team!! Rolling Eyes

the first half was quite frustrating cos im so used to seeing them score a bag ful of goals, but it was still good. we hit the woodwork the most times ever, we were so unlucky not to have loads more goals on the scoresheet. cardiff played well but were quite lucky that we didnt score more and that the woodwork helped them out so much. we all started breathing a bit more easily when we scored our 2nd and Arsenal started playing more comfortably.

......and then kelly got injured.... so i panicked and sat there going 'omg what are we gonna do? if shes injured we're gonna lose the league and the cups and england wont make it to the world cup!!!!' really must stop the irrational panicking!!!

so i had to find out if she was ok.... so she was walking round the edge of the pitch with anita halfway thru the 2nd half and came round past the stand. so i screamed 'KELLY ARE YOU ALRIGHT??!!' in the loudest northern voice ever. kelly had a reet confused look across her face and was searching the stand for the crazy person who was shouting at her! then she saw me and gave me a smile and a wave and a thumbs up and shouted that she was ok!! yey i could breathe again!!!! but then my whole team were laughing at me for about 10 minutes and the rest of the crowd looked at me as if i was MENTAL!! Embarassed Laughing i like to think i bring a comedy element to Arsenal matches and esp to kelly!! haha! Laughing

love it! did lots of shouting after the match when all the players were walking off and got a few waves and smiles!! OOOH and julie fleeting was walking in from warmup and i was in my Arsenal shirt, totally grinning at her (im so pathetic around legends Embarassed ) and she smiled and said 'alright!' (most exciting moment of life!!) Very Happy

cant wait for us to win the treble!! Very Happy

xx
